Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

This form of magic is simple. The warlock acts as entertainment for their patron, known usually as Their Benefactor; whoever or whatever that patron may be. From doing it to get out of a deal with a devil to being set in this position through sacrifice, most rarely actually choose this position due to it lasting their entire lifespan and further. The Benefactor will watch your adventures through a given item, most commonly used as an Arcane Focus. It would be wise to remember that the Benefactor wishes to be entertained so choose your actions wisely.

The Benefactor's Gift

At 3rd level, through the deal between the warlock and The Benefactor, said Benefactors grant their entertainment an aspect of themself. The aspects are as follows:

The Archfey: Misty Escape

The Fathomless: Gift of the Sea

The Fiend: Dark One's Blessing

The Great Old One: Awakened Mind

The Hexblade: Hex Warrior

The Archfey

Misty Escape

You can vanish in a puff of mist in response to harm. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to turn invisible and teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You remain invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack or cast a spell.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

The Fathomless

Gift of the Sea

You gain a swimming speed of 40 feet, and you can breathe underwater.

The Fiend

Dark One's Blessing

Starting at 1st level, when you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + your warlock level (minimum of 1).

The Great Old One

Awakened Mind

Your alien knowledge gives you the ability to touch the minds of other creatures. You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You don't need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.

The Hexblade

Hex Warrior

You acquire the training necessary to effectively arm yourself for battle. You gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and martial weapons.

The influence of your patron also allows you to mystically channel your will through a particular weapon. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch one weapon that you are proficient with and that lacks the two-handed property. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest. If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, this benefit extends to every pact weapon you conjure with that feature, no matter the weapon's type.

Benefactor's Favor

Starting at 6th level, you are allowed to make a request to your Benefactor, similar to the Cleric's Divine Intervention, as an action. The lowest request you can make is for them to do an action with the requirement of a persuasion roll; the DM determine the roll required and how the Benefactor performs the action if succeeded. You may request them to perform spells with something worse than a persuasion roll. In exchange of this favor you must eliminate the same amount of hit points and add years to your sentence same as the level of the spell. You also have to wait the same amount of weeks as is to the spell's level.

Example: if you were to ask your Benefactor to perform "True Resurrection," a 9th level spell, you would sacrifice nine hit points, add nine years of servitude to your sentence, and wait nine weeks before asking for another favor.

Invested

Starting at 10th level, your Benefactor has became so invested in your story that they occasionally alter fate in your favor. When you make an ability check or a saving throw, you can use this feature to add a d10 to your roll. You can do so after seeing the initial roll but before any of the roll’s effects occur.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Plot Armor

Starting at 14th level, you can request your Benefactor allows you to choose one damage type to gain resistance to when you finish a short or long rest. This lasts until you choose a different one with this feature. Damage from magical weapons or silver weapons ignores this resistance.
