Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Amidst the perils of adventure, a distinct breed of rogue emerges: the Line Walker. Unveiling a unique blend of audacity and agility, the Line Walker embodies the essence of survival and combat prowess with unmatched finesse. Mastery of the Omni-Directional Mobility gear propels this subclass to new heights, enabling them to navigate hazardous terrain, engage foes with unparalleled swiftness, and endure in the face of overwhelming odds.

Embrace the challenge, hone your skills, and take flight as a Line Walker rogue. With blades at the ready and the wind at your back, you stand as a stalwart defender, prepared to confront any threat that dares to menace the realms of humanity.

Omni-Manoeuvre

Starting at third level, you gain access to a set of Omni-Direction Manoeuvre Gear. You can expend a charge of your ODM gear to activate it for 1 minute as a bonus action, then immediately use the following features. You can activate your gear an amount of times equal to your proficiency modifier per long rest. To use the gear, you need both hands to operate the device, with a controller in each hand.
Whilst activated, you gain the following features:

- You can fire off your grappling darts onto a solid surface a distance away equal to your walking speed, up to 50ft, as a bonus action or in place of your movement, acting as an anchor. You can propel yourself in a straight line towards that point. You must travel at least 10ft before stopping.

- In addition to your normal sneak attack rules, any attacks made while being propelled by your gear using your bonus action to activate can trigger sneak attack, so long as you do not have disadvantage on the attack.

ODM Gear

A set of ODM gear consists of 2 mechanical scabbards, consisting of 2 grappling darts with 50ft of wire each, 2 short sabers, which are 1d6 light finesse weapons dealing slashing damage, as well as a pair of controllers. Both controllers must be held to operate the gear, one in each hand, or attached to a set of weapons.

At the end of each long rest, you can attach your controllers to the hilt of a one-handed melee weapon without the heavy property in place of the provider sabers, so long as you have a set of smith's tools.

Scout Training

At third level, you also gain proficiency in either the Nature or Survival skill. If you already have proficiency in these skills, you gain proficiency in one other skill of your choice.

Fly-By Attack

Beginning at ninth level, when you take the Attack action and use your bonus action to activate your ODM gear for movement, you can make an additional offhand attack as part of that bonus action.

Honed Instinct

Your years of scouting and combat have heightened your instincts to track your enemies. From level thirteen, when you make a perception check, you can do so with advantage. In addition, you can never be surprised.

Unseen Defender

At level seventeen, you gain the following ability. When a creature within range of your ODM gear is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to propel yourself at the attacker, causing their attack to miss. In addition to this, you can make one attack in return directed towards that enemy. You can use this feature once per short or long rest.
