Channel Divinity

Frozen Emptiness: You can use your Channel Divinity to exude a presence of infinite darkness. As an action, you can force each creature within 30ft of you to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature 1d4 cold damage, their movement is halved, and cannot take reactions.

Heart of Ice: You can use your Channel Divinity to become an indominable avatar of Darkness. As an action, you can coat yourself in a supernatural rime granting temporary hit points equal to 10+ your Con modifier. You have resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage as long as you have these temporary hit points.

 

Shadow Siphon

The Blackguard infuses their weapon with the icy chill of night and shadow, sapping away the strength of their enemy and revitalizing the knight. Enemies hit with the enchanted weapon must make a CON save (DC 10+ CON Mod). On a failed save, the Blackguard gains temporary HP equal to the cold damage dealt. Only half as much on a successful save.

Aura of Night

Enemies within 10ft of the Blackguard have a negative to their attack roll equal to their CON modifier. Additionally, any enemy who misses an attack must make a CON save or take 2D6 cold damage. No damage on a successful save.

At 18th level, the range is increased to 30ft and the damage is increased to 2d10. 

Obliterate

Starting at 15 level, your enemies become frozen in fear at your indominable presence. Whenever you strike a creature with cold damage, if the attack drops the target to 0 hit points, that creature is frozen solid then shatters dealing 2d6 cold and 2d6 piercing damage to each enemy within 10ft.

Unassailable Nightmare

At 20th level, you radiate the hopelessness of nightmarish darkness.  As an action, you can become an avatar of Darkness, gaining the following benefits for 1 min:

  • Enemies have disadvantage on attack rolls against you.
  • Enemies that miss an attack against you become feared and immobilized for 1 round.
  • When an enemy affected by this ability takes damage from any source, they take an additional 3d8 cold damage.
