Artificer
Base Class: Artificer

After much searching in your career, you found a lost magic treasure that will help you make your mark. But should it go to a museum? The secrets you could learn through it could be limitless.

Skilled with Gear

At level 3, If you have an Intelligence Modifier greater than 2, you learn a number of Artificer Skills = to your Intelligence Modifier.

Prized Artifact

At starting at level 3, you can designate an ancient &/or magical item as your relic. Whenever you take a level in artificer, you can commit that level to your relic. Committed levels do NOT count toward gaining new artificer spell slots. When you take a short rest, you can regain a number of spell slots whose total levels are = to half of your committed levels (rounded up).

In addition, you learn a number of warlock spells. Take the total number of Committed levels & divided them by 2 (rounded up). These count as warlock levels on the on the warlock table's spells known column.

Count your total number of committed levels and compare it to the corresponding level on the Artificer Class table. Check the "Known Cantrip" column, you learn that many warlock cantrips. Repeat this with uncommitted levels to see how many artificer cantrips you know.

When multiclassing, committed levels count as "Pact Magic" feature while uncommitted levels count toward spellcasting feature.

You can use your relic as a spell casting focus. You are attuned to the relic & cannot unattuned. You always know in which direction it is in, what dimension it is in & if anyone is holding it or using magic on it. If the relic is away from your possession for over a week, you lose all benefits from this subclass until you regain the relic..

Upgraded Relic.

At level 5, depending on what type of magic item your relics is, it gains a new property.

Armor: You gain a bonus to you AC = your PB - 3. When you cast a spell using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic), you gain temp. HP equal to the spell's level.

Clothing: You gain a bonus to you spell saves = your PB - 3. When you cast a spell using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic), you regain HP equal to the spell's level.

Ring: Attack rolls for spell cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) a bonus = your PB - 3. Spells cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) has it's range increased by 50% rounded up to the nearest multiple of 5ft (range of self extends to touch & range of touch extends to 10 ft)

Rod: The DC spell cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) a bonus = your PB - 3. Spells cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) has it's duration increased by 50%.

Scroll: You gain a bonus to you spell saves = your PB - 3. If you successfully make the saving throw, you can use your reaction inscribe the spell on the scroll. You treat the spell as 1 of your prepared spells, it is considered both a artificer & warlock spell, but does not count against your list of spells prepared/known. You can only have 1 spell inscribed at a time & it must be of a level you have a spell slot for. The spell stays inscribed until you inscribed a different spell or finish a short rest.

Staff: You can use the relic as a quarterstaff. Melee attack rolls, as well as Damage rolls from melee strikes & spell cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) a bonus = your PB - 3.

Wand: Attack rolls for spell cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) a bonus = your PB - 3. Spell & cantrip cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) with casting time of a 1 action or 1 bonus action can now be cast as either. Also you can cast a second spell whose level = 1/2 PB.

Weapon: You can make 2 attacks or cast any cantrip you know as a bonus action when you take the attack action. You gain a bonus to attack & damage rolls of this weapon = your PB - 3.

Wonderous Items: The DC spell cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) a bonus = your PB - 3. All spell cast using the relic (as a focus or as a property of the relic) can be cast as Ritual.

Any "+" bonus the relic already has DOES NOT stack with this feature's "+" bonus, the higher bonus replaces the lower bonus.

Spell Repository

At level 9, as you take a long rest, you can store spell slot you didn't use in your relic. Your relic can store a number of spells who's total level = 1/2 your artificer level (rounded down) until you complete your next long rest.

Gifted Attribute

At level 15, you can now add up to 2 of your infusions to your relic.
