Base Class: Cleric
Imma be real, I'm not feeling like making a description right now. I'll add another version with one when I feel like it. Basically, you can give rations effects to make them like pseudo-magic items.
Heartwarming Meal
When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency in cook's utensils, and can use them as a spellcasting focus. Additionally, you gain the ability to infuse rations with magic.
As an action, you can roll on the flavor table, causing the ration to gain a benefit based on the result of the roll. If your DM allows it, and you have the specific spices, you can choose the exact effect based on your inventory of spices. A creature can use their bonus action to consume the infused ration. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, or by consuming a spell slot of 1st level or higher. You can also use this feature without expending a use during a short or long rest. You regain expended uses of this feature after a short or long rest.
| d6 | Flavor |
|---|---|
| 1 | Sweet. Upon consumption, for the next 1 minute, your speed is increased by an amount of feet equal to 5 x your proficiency bonus. |
| 2 | Salty. Upon consumption, regain hit points equal to a roll of your hit dice + your Constitution modifier. This does not consume the hit die. |
| 3 | Sour. Upon consumption, for the next 1 minute, your AC is increased by half your proficiency bonus (rounded up). |
| 4 | Savory. Upon consumption, for the next 10 minutes, you gain a bonus to Strength saving throws and melee weapon damage rolls equal to your proficiency bonus. |
| 5 | Spicy. Upon consumption, you gain an amount of temporary hit points equal to half of your proficiency bonus (rounded down) + half of your class level (rounded down). While you have these temporary hit points, you gain resistance to cold damage. |
| 6 | Minty. Upon consumption, for the next 10 minutes, you gain a bonus to your Intelligence and Wisdom saving throws equal to your proficiency bonus. |
Channel Divinity: Honorable Hospitality
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to warm the hearts of those around you.
As an action, you present your holy symbol, and a passive flame coats a number of creatures within 30 feet equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1), as well as yourself, acting as a form of armor for the next 1 minute. While a creature is coated with these flames, at the start of each of their turns, they regain 2d4 hit points. Additionally, whenever a creature coated in these flames takes damage, if the attacker is within 5 feet, the creature can choose to deal 1d4 fire damage to the attacker.
The dice used for both of these effects become a d6 at level 6, and a d8 at level 8. You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
Expert Cooking
Starting at 6th level, whenever you infuse rations with flavor effects, you can choose to reroll the flavor. You can use this feature once per ration. If you use specific ingredients to guarantee a flavor for a ration, you instead use half of the ingredients for the infusion.
Fast Food
Starting at 8th level, it only takes a bonus action to infuse a ration with a flavor effect. Additionally, you can use a bonus action to feed an ally the ration, as long as the ally is within 5 feet of you. You can feed an ally as a part of the same bonus action to infuse a ration with a flavor effect.
Heavenly Feast
At 17th level, you can always use your Heartwarming Meal feature without expended a spell slot.
