Base Class: Warlock
Using anything from the abyss is dangerous, but through some circumstance of fate, you have become entangled with an artifact that grants you glimpses into the future. Daily visions of the unknown and confusing portents of the future give you the consistent feeling of deja vu. In moments of clarity, you can change those glimpsed futures with unknown consequences. Subtly push an enemy's claw to the side as it makes its strike. Nudge a lockpick into the right position to crack a bejeweled chest. The downside is every push on the threads of life's tapestry attracts the attention of eyes from the other side. Using too heavy a hand too often may yield recompense for all those snatched from the jaws of fate.

Nudge of Fate
Beginning at level one, your entanglement with an abyssal artifact grants you insight into the future. At the beginning of the day, roll a number of d20s equal to your proficiency modifier. These are your Portent Dice. During any skill check, attack roll, or saving throw, you may replace the result of a d20 with one of the Portent Dice. Doing so increases your Butterfly Effect dice by one denomination beginning at a d4 and not to exceed a d12. These can be deployed at any time at the DMs discretion to roll for a consequence of your meddling with the future. If, at the time of your next long rest, the Butterfly Effect roll has not been used and you have remaining unused Portent Dice, you may reduce the denomination of Butterfly Effect dice by one for each unused Portent Dice.
Butterfly Effect Table
The DM may, at any time deemed appropriate, roll on the Butterfly Effect Table to see the consequences of your meddling with the future. This table can be created to match the DMs world, beginning at relatively minor consequences and increasing in their world altering nature in an attempt to rebalance the scales you've tipped in your favor. Below is an example:
1. Your reading of the future was wrong. The opposite result of your next roll occurs, i.e. if you roll a successful attack, it is a failure instead, and vice versa.
2. Voices call through the ether begging for your attention. You have disadvantage on your next skill check, attack roll, or saving throw.
3. Your vision splits from gazing too often at possibilities. You are considered blind for 1 hour. A lesser restoration spell can remove these effects.
4. The DM rolls the Butterfly Effect dice again, Goblins equal to the result appear. They will try to take your artifact by any means necessary or until given something else they deem of equivalent value.
5. Roll a Wisdom Saving throw (DC 15). If you fail, an item of 50 gp value or less goes missing from your pack.
6. All beasts you encounter sense your influence over the threads of fate and become hostile to you for the next 1d4 days.
7. The next NPC you meet becomes hostile to you. Regardless of if you have met before or not, they remember you as having done something awful to them in the past.
8. The multiverse converges for a moment. Local authorities now believe you to be the leader of an infamous cult or criminal organization in the area. So do the cultists or criminals.
9. An otherworldly sickness overtakes you for 1d10 hours. You are considered poisoned for the duration. A greater restoration spell can remove these effects.
10. A demon servant of the original owner of your artifact (type of the DMs discretion) discovers you and attempts to retrieve its master's treasure.
11. Your meddling in the weave has stoked the ire of a god. Members of a certain clergy are now hostile towards you, and will remain so until this result is rolled again. When rolled again, a different clerical group will be hostile towards you instead. The group in question is up to the DM's discretion.
12. Another version of you appears from another dimension under the DMs control. They have your current stats and equipment (better or worse at the DMs discretion) and will attempt to stop you from using the artifact at the cost of their own life.
Mark of the Multiverse
Starting at 6th level, your bond with your abyssal artifact allows you to see multiple realities and will the best outcome into existence. When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can use this feature to roll with advantage.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Hidden in Time
Starting at 10th level, your artifact not only lets you see and alter the weave of time, it allows you to turn your will against those foolish enough to look at you too closely. You know when you are being watched through divination magic such as the scrying spell. You have advantage on saving throws against divination magic and can attempt to turn the opposite direction. You gain the benefits of a divination spell used against you if your opponent fails a WIS saving throw against your spell DC.
Mind over Multiverse
At level 14, you've gained ultimate mastery over your bond with your stolen artifact, and your influence over the threads of possibility can occasionally supersede reality. You gain the ability to cast Modify Memory at 7th level once per day without expending a spell slot. If successful, the memory you create mimics the reality of other timelines and cannot be changed except by casting the spell again in this way or by a Wish spell. You can cast this spell at 8th level upon reaching level 17 and 9th upon reaching level 20, reflecting your deepening entanglement with the threads of reality.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
