Base Class: Monk

This monk subclass specializes in setting traps and keeping position hidden and unpredictable. Many monks either neutral or evil follow this monastic tradition, as it offers various forms of manipulation, in and out of battle

 

Web of Lies

Web of Lies: Starting at 3rd level, you become proficient in deception, if you are not already, as well as gaining advantage on deception rolls. You also gain immunity to mind reading by telepathic means. At level 6 weaponize your lies. Failing a deception check allows you to deal 1d6+charisma to any one who knows the truth. This damage increases at levels 11 and 16

 

 

 

 

Patience of the Weaver

Starting at 6th level, you can spend your action to create an intricate web trap. For every 10 feet of web used for the trap, spend 1 ki point, and spend 1 ki point per trigger set. The trap can be set off early for 1 ki point. This trap does not need to have a trigger. Being in contact with ki web slows movement by 50% until you no longer touch it. Beginning at level 11 you can use this as a bonus action, either extending the intricacy of a previous trap, or creating a new one entirely. Only 4 ki web traps may be active at once.

 

 

Tactical Web

Starting at 11th level, you can use your action to launch a projectile web of Ki  up to a range of 45 feet. The web has multiple effects, and you may spend ki points to activate each individual effect.

1: Pull yourself to the target, or pull the target to you upon failing a constitution saving throw. (DC =  5+ Strength modifier + monk level) 1 ki point

2: Slow target movement by 50% percent 1 ki point

3: deal 2 rolls of your martial arts die in acidic damage by sending acidic ki through the web 2 ki

4: Make target make a constitution saving throw (DC = 5 + Wis modifier + monk level) or be unable to take action for 1 turn 4 ki points

Additionally you may spend 1 ki point to maintain position on any vertical surfaces or ceilings for the duration of the encounter, or 2 hours. Which ever is shorter

8-Point Arachne

Starting at 17th level, as an action, you may spend 5 ki points on any successful attack to perform a series of blows that deals 6d6 bludgeoning damage and a powerful finisher that deals 2d12 acidic damage, and make the enemy make a constitution saving throw (DC = con modifier + monk level + proficiency bonus) or be unable to take action their next turn and take 2d4 poison damage for the next 4 turns. Additionally you can expend 1 ki point upon a successful grapple and disengage while leaving them stunned, leaving them trapped in a quick spun ki web
