Base Class: Bard
The College of the Unwavering Bond is the home of bards who have studied the craft of forming bonds with enemies and allies alike to create a powerful network of acquaintances. Members of the College of the Unwavering Bonds are exceptionally skilled at genuinely interacting with everyone they meet, and train to connect deeply and powerfully with those they come across.
The Dove’s Bond
When you join the College of the Unwavering Bond at 3rd level, your Bardic Inspiration takes on a new form, with effects that last until the die is used by an ally. Whilst an ally has an unused Bardic Inspiration die, they are considered Bonded. You are able to sense the emotions of Bonded allies, and can make limited telepathic communications by transmitting your own emotions.
While at least one ally is Bonded, as a bonus action, you may grant all Bonded allies a number of temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1).
Additionally, all Bonded allies gain an extra 10 ft. of movement and advantage of Charisma (Persuasion) checks.
Positive Affirmations
Starting at 3rd level, your ability to sway others is bolstered by your emotional awareness.
If you speak in a friendly manner to a creature that can understand you for at least 1 minute, you can attempt to encourage an otherwise hostile creature to become neutral, or even help you. The creature must make a Wisdom (Insight) check contested with your Charisma (Persuasion) roll. If the target fails the contested check, it becomes charmed. While charmed in this way, the creature abandons hostilities and treats you as a trustworthy stranger. This effect ends after 1 hour or if you or your allies attack the target.
If the target succeeds on the saving throw, it has no hint that you attempted to charm it. Additionally, after the spell's effects end, the creature may resume hostilities but does not know that you charmed it.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Improved Bonds
Starting at 6th level, when an ally is Bonded, they may add your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1) to all damage rolls made by a weapon attack.
Additionally all now Bonded allies gain an extra 30 feet of movement, which replaces the movement increase of the Dove’s Bond feature.
Love Language
Also at 6th level, you have gained the ability to make your speech intelligible to any creature. As an action, choose one creature within 60 feet of you. The chosen creature can magically understand you, regardless of the language you speak, for 1 hour.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot to use it again.
The Dove’s Network
At 14th level, when an ally expends a Bardic Inspiration die, you may use your reaction to transfer the die to a target within 60 feet of your ally.
You use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once). You gain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
