Base Class: Monk
Way of the Desert monks are almost all part of a secluded enclave deep within the heart of the desert. They are commonly called upon for their wisdom and authority in political decisions regarding the desert. These monks are taught how to ruthlessly combine sand and blade to defend against those that would harm the lives of others.
Ki Blade
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your ki into a non-magical weapon of your choice. You become proficient with the weapon and attacking with the blade is considered an unarmed attack instead. When it leaves your grasp it dissolves into sand until you call upon it again.
Whenever you hit a creature with your ki blade they take an additional 1 slicing damage from sand. Starting at 11th level, the damage spreads to all unarmed attacks and deals 1d4 slicing damage instead.
Sand Strider
At 6th level, if the wearer is standing on sand, they do not provoke opportunity attacks and their movement speed increases by 30ft.
Dune Spreader
At 11th level, once per turn on an unarmed attack, you may expend 1 ki point in order to make your unarmed attacks blind. Additionally, unarmed attacks spread light amounts of sand on the ground in a 3ft radius circle around the target of you attacks.
Soul of the Desert
At 17th level, you may spend a bonus action and 3 ki points to enter a state of flow for 5 turns. Unarmed attacks deal an additional 1d6 slicing damage and you have advantage attacking enemies covered in sand.
