Monk
Base Class: Monk

Nomads and seafarers are the usual users of this tradition. They are free like the sea and flow through life in a calming way. They bring joy to those they find as they are considered free spirits and often inspire others to tread their own path.

Channelled Waters

When you choose this tradition at level 3 you gain access to Control water, which can be cast as an action for free, or a bonus action for 1 ki point.

In addition, you also gain access to Ice Knife, Fog Cloud, and Create or Destroy Water, these can all be cast for 1 ki point using your wisdom modifier for attack rolls. The level these are cast at increases by 1 at levels 7, 13, and 18.

Shape Of water

When you choose this tradition at level 3, you can use your bonus action to spend 1 ki point to enter special stances for 1 minute. You can use Storm Surge, and Serene Spring.

Storm Surge

When you enter Storm surge, you have the 2 following effects:

  • When you first enter storm surge and as an action on subsequent turns, All enemies around you must succeed a strength saving throw against your spell DC or be pushed back 15ft in a straight line from you but cannot be pushed over any ledges which would deal fall damage.
  • Your unarmed strikes have a range of 10ft.

Serene Spring

When you enter serene spring, you have the 2 following effects:

  • When you first enter Serene Spring and as an action on subsequent turns, You and 1 ally within 30ft of you heal 1 roll of your martial arts dice + your wisdom modifier.
  • Your movement speed is increased by 10ft.

In addition, you have access to the Glacial Wall.

Spending 1 ki point as a reaction, you increase your AC by your wisdom modifier until the start of your next turn. If a melee attack is stopped by using this reaction, the attacker takes cold damage equal to your martial arts dice plus your wisdom modifier.

When you do so, all enemies within 20ft of you must make a strength saving throw against your Ki dc. If they fail they are pulled up to 15ft towards you. The enemies pulled in cannot use attacks of opportunity against you for this turn.

Patient Defence: The area around you becomes flooded. You can spend 1 additional Ki point when you use Patient Defence. When you do so, 15ft around you becomes difficult terrain for all creatures except for you.
