Base Class: Bard
College of the Matador Bards are champions of one on one encounters, dodging blows and using that miss to strike back with deadly force. You can often find these bards in arenas fighting bulls or other creatures of great stature. Effortlessly weaving pass each attack without a single piece of armor, often wearing flashy clothing in place of it. In the world of Quindessa this College is also the preferred method of fighting in the lands of Corto Maltese for many bards.
Dashing Defenses
At 3rd level your training of fighting larger foes for entertainment you have mastered dodging blows without wearing any actual armor. While you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Charisma modifier + your Dexterity modifier.
Counter Attack
At 3rd level you have mastered maneuvers to properly take advantage of foes failing to land an attack against you. Whenever a creature misses an attack within 5 feet of you, you can make one melee weapon attack against that creature as a reaction. If this attack hits you can expend a use of your bardic inspiration to deal extra damage of your weapons damage type equal to three rolls of your bardic inspiration die.
Taunting Gestures
At 6th level, you know the exact words, phrases, or gestures to just infuriate your foes. As a bonus action, you can target a creature you can see within 60 feet of you that can see or hear you. That creature must make an Intelligence saving throw against you Bard spell save DC, on a failure that creature has disadvantage on making attack rolls against creatures other than you for 1 minute or if you use this bonus action again. While this effect is in place if you take the Attack action and attack the target only, you may make an additional attack. Whenever the target takes damage from a creature other than you it can repeat its save against Taunting Gestures, ending the effect early on a success. If a creature succeeds its saving throw initially or when repeating the save it is immune to Taunting Gestures for 1 hour. A creature is also immune to this effect if they are immune to the charmed condition.
Counter Mastery
Starting at 14th level, whenever you land a counter attack you can choose do deal an extra 3d6 damage instead of expending a Bardic Inspiration die. Additionally, anytime you do a counter attack you make the attack roll with advantage.
