Base Class: Sorcerer
The steel draconic bloodline is a very rare one. Usual steel dragons can mate with other creatures without passing on their draconic features and abilities in order to have a "normal" life in order to record what they did before they vault their memories and start an entirely new life. These records could be in books, painting, music, and the Arts.
Now steel dragons will come together to mate with each other at least once in their life to make more dragons. They don't usually stay together though after raising their young, and each go to live their separates lives, continuing the vaulting process to gain new experience and knowledge. There is another time they will pass on their genes though.
This is where the steel draconic bloodline comes in. In order to make this bloodline, the steel dragon has to intentionally pass on their genes to the offspring. These children are made with a humanoid being, usual of elven or dwarven descent as they are longest living. Once born and raised to adulthood, these individuals are given the task to become a soulbond to a steel dragon. Unless they are already matched to one, it may take time for this bond to happen, but with their lineage, it makes it easier for them to find steel dragons. Also with their bloodline, they are taught young the importance of being a soulbond and what one must do to become an effective one.
Soulbonds stay with their steel dragon partner throughout their whole lives. It is their job to help and watch over the dragon as they go through their many lives and vaulting processes. The soulbond is meant to be the only one who knows that their partner is a steel dragon. They are usually in charge of protecting the dragons lair and helping with recording and archiving their different lives. The soulbond is meant to be in the background of each of these lives to influence the dragon as little as possible, so they can have a genuine perspective of each life to record later.
Dragon Ancestor
At 1st level, you choose the steel dragon as your ancestor. The damage type associated with this dragon is used by features you gain later.

You can speak, read, and write Draconic. Additionally, whenever you make a Charisma check when interacting with dragons, your proficiency bonus is doubled if it applies to the check.
Steel Dragon
At 1st level, you choose one type of dragon as your ancestor. The damage type associated with each dragon is used by features you gain later.
Draconic Resilience
As magic flows through your body, it causes physical traits of your dragon ancestors to emerge. At 1st level, your hit point maximum increases by 1 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.
Additionally, parts of your skin are covered by a thin sheen of dragon-like scales. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier.
Breath Weapon
As an action, you exhale an acid line 5 by 30ft. Each creature in the area must make a DC (8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus) DEX saving throw, taking 2d6 acid damage on a failed save, and half damage on a successful one.
The steel draconic bloodline has a secondary breath weapon like its dragon relatives. As an action, you exhale a sleep gas in a 15ft cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC (8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus) CON saving throw or be knocked unconscious on a failed save. Nothing happens if the save is successful.
They can make two breath weapon attacks per short rest. Ex: two acid breaths, two sleep breaths, or one acid and one sleep.
Damage Resistance
You have resistance to acid damage thanks to your steel dragon lineage. You also have advantage against spells, attacks, or potions that put you to sleep. Ex: The weapon has a spell, poison, etc. that is meant to put the person to sleep.
Elemental Affinity
Starting at 6th level, when you cast a spell that deals damage of the type associated with your draconic ancestry, you can add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell. At the same time, you can spend 1 sorcery point to gain resistance to that damage type for 1 hour.
Dragon Wings
At 14th level, you gain the ability to sprout a pair of dragon wings from your back, gaining a flying speed equal to your current speed. You can create these wings as a bonus action on your turn. They last until you dismiss them as a bonus action on your turn.
You can’t manifest your wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate your wings might be destroyed when you manifest them.
Draconic Presence
Beginning at 18th level, you can channel the dread presence of your dragon ancestor, causing those around you to become awestruck or frightened. As an action, you can spend 5 sorcery points to draw on this power and exude an aura of awe or fear (your choice) to a distance of 60 feet. For 1 minute or until you lose your concentration (as if you were casting a concentration spell), each hostile creature that starts its turn in this aura must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed (if you chose awe) or frightened (if you chose fear) until the aura ends. A creature that succeeds on this saving throw is immune to your aura for 24 hours.
