Base Class: Bard
As a bard of the College of Blades your life is dedicated to the art of fencing and swordplay. You train daily with one or two rapiers, sabres, or shortswords - your dance a whirling tempest of metal.
You make your blades sing a song of death and can stand toe to toe with any other warrior.
You also gain spells of a more offensive and battlefield control nature than those of your other bardic colleagues.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Blades at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor, breastplates, shields, and martial weapons. You also gain proficiency in acrobatics and the dual-wielder feat.
Song of Elan
You give off an aura that effects any of your allies within 60 feet by your show of spirit. Your CHA modifier can be added to all die rolls of your party for one round, either for the group's offense or defense. They either all add the result to damage rolls, saving throws, or AC scores but all must use the same option.
Song of Elan can be used a number of times equal to your CHA modifier between long rests.
First Strike
You gain a +2 bonus to your initiative rolls due to your increased ability to accurately predict your opponents' actions.
Extra Attack
Starting at 6th level you can attack rwo times, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Improved Swordplay
At 6th level your swordplay has become good enough to allow you a better to hit ability and more damage per hit. You gain a +2 bonus to hit and each successful hit does an additional 1d4 piercing or slashing damage.
War Caster
At 6th level your spellcasting has become mingled so well with your swordplay that you gain the War Caster feat.
Extra Attack
At 14th level you can attack three times, instead of twice, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Superior Swordplay
At 14th level, you are advanced enough with your swordplay that you add a +2 bonus to hit on melee attacks with swords and each attack does an additional 2d4 piercing or slashing damage.
Right of Way
You've learned enough about anticipating enemy maneuvers that you gain advantage on all initiative rolls. It's more than likely that you'll get the jump on them and can strike first.
