Base Class: Sorcerer
A take on the jujitsu kaisen cursed energy system, draft
Cursed energy
Starting at level 1 you are able to spend 1 sorcery point to cast Mage armour on yourself. You may also spend a sorcery point as a reaction to taking damage to reduce the incoming damage by 2d6, you can spend additional sorcery points to further reduce the damage by 1d6 per additional Sorcery point spent.
also at level 1 you are able spend a Sorcery point to add 2d6 force damage to any one damage roll on your turn, you can spend additional sorcery points to increase this damage by 1d6 per additional Sorcery point spent.
The maximum number of Sorcery points you can expend on either of these features is equal to your proficiency bonus.
Cursed Technique
An innate cursed technique takes shape differently for each sorcerer. Choose any two spells from any classes, including this one. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Sorcerer table, or a cantrip.
The chosen spell count as a Sorcerer spell for you and are included in the number in the Spells Known column of the Sorcerer table.
Extra attack
Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Additional Cursed techniques
At 14th level, you learn two spells of your choice from any class. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Sorcerer table, or a cantrip. The chosen spells count as Sorcerer spells for you but don’t count against the number of Sorcerer spells you know.
Domain Expansion
You can now manifest your cursed energy into a domain around you.
as an action you may spend 5 sorcery points to create a 30 foot radius sphere of magical energy centered on you for 1 minute. The sphere does not move with you and ends early if you leave the area of the sphere or target anything outside the spheres space with an attack or spell. While inside this sphere you are granted the following abilities.
- Enemies have disadvantage on attack rolls against you
- Enemies have disadvantage on saving throws against spells you cast while they are inside the spheres space
- You have advantage on attack rolls against anything inside the spheres space
- You may cast any spells learned through the “Cursed technique” feature by expending an amount of sorcery points equal to the spells level. Spells cast this way do not require verbal, somatic or material components
- The range of all spells learned from the “Cursed Technique” feature increases to “anywhere inside the spheres space” this includes spells with a range of touch or self
- creatures can only leave or enter the spheres space with a successful Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. Creatures leaving the spheres space make this saving throw with disadvantage
Additional Cursed techniques
At 18th level, you learn two spells of your choice from any class. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Sorcerer table, or a cantrip. The chosen spells count as Sorcerer spells for you but don’t count against the number of Sorcerer spells you know.
Pinnacle of Sorcery
You have reached the apex of cursed energy control.
At 18th level you gain the following benifits
-The Sorcery point activation cost for all abilities in the “Cursed energy” feature and “Domain Expansion” feature is reduced by one
-The affected area of your “Domain Expansion” feature increases to a 60 foot radius
- You regain 4 Sorcery points when you perform a critical hit.
