Base Class: Monk
Many people throughout their lives will have several opportunities to prove to the world around them their potential. Sometimes through magic. Sometimes through equipment. And occasionally, with raw physical prowess. For those who train their bodies to their limits, many will get to a point where they believe they are at the peak of physicality. But the Embolden Monks from the Underpass Monasteries study limits to break them. Taking the abilities observed and achieved by several people, they now mimic themselves to become as naturally strong as possible. And now, no other people exemplify raw pinnacle natural form than an Embolden Monk.
Furious State
3rd-level Way of the Embolden Feature
While in the heat of combat, your fierceness empowers your body. As a bonus action, you enter a heighten focused state and gain the following benefits:
- You have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks and Dexterity (Acrobatics) and Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
- At the start of each of your turns, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Martial die + your Wisdom modifier.
- When you take the Attack action, you deal an extra 1d8 force damage on your first attack roll that hits. This bonus damage increases by 1d8 at 6th, 11th, and 17th level.
This state lasts for 1 minute, until you are incapacitated or you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell). Once you've used this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a short rest or long rest unless you spend 1 ki point to use it again.
Enhanced Physique
6th-Level Way of the Embolden Feature
Your body has transformed to become incredibly adroit and you have broken past your physical limits. When you are prone, standing up does not cost you movement. On your turns, you can make one or more jumps to travel up to a total distance equal to your Unarmored movement speed without having to move 10 feet on foot beforehand. You ignore difficult terrain and gain an innate swimming and climbing speed equal to your walking speed. You can carry, push, drag, and lift three times as much weight as normal.
Analytical Overthrow
11th-level Way of the Embolden Feature
Your mind has become extremely well adept at analyzing fighting patterns and finding openings to exploit. While in a Fury, at the start of each of your turns, you have advantage on attack rolls until you miss an attack.
As a bonus action, whenever you hit a target with advantage you can expend 2 ki points to push it 30 feet away from you. The target's speed is reduced to 0 and it is prone until the end of its next turn.
Herculean Exaltation
17th-Level Way of the Embolden Feature
You can push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment and can invigorate yourself with incredible resolve. You can take one additional action on your turn. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
