Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

You possess a soul more animate than most, allowing you to fight even after death.
You have experienced death and you find that being on the brink is where you feel most alive
You often get to first base with death, sometimes second base, but never third

Out of body experience

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your soul grows restless
When you reach 0 HP, instead of doing death saving throws, your soul pops out of your body, in a never-ending rage.
your soul form has the same armor class and weapon as you do.
Your weapon in soul form counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Every time you attack in soul form, you must make a con save (dc 10) in order to attack your target. if you fail the save, attack the closest person near you

Your soul form has half your max hp and the following immunities/resistances:

Condition Immunities Charmed, Exhaustion, Frightened, Grappled, Paralyzed, Petrified, Poisoned, Prone, Restrained

Damage Immunities Cold, Necrotic, Poison

Damage Resistances Acid, Fire, Lightning, Thunder; Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks

Due to your exertion outside your body heavily weakening the connection to your body, you can only use your ghost form for 4 + 1(per 5 barbarian levels) turns of combat in order to not completely sever the tie to your body and permanently die.

after your time is up, your spirit tries to re-enter your body and you do your death-saving throws as normal
if your ghost form drops to 0 hp, your spirit rushes to re-enter your body and you do your death saving throws but with a failed saving throw filled in
if your body was stabilized while in soul form, you don't have to do saving throws and are just Unconscious

You're stuck to a 150ft radius around your body

Dead Man Walking

At 3rd level, If a spell, such as Raise Dead, has the sole effect of restoring you to life (but not undeath), the caster doesn't need material components to cast the spell on you.
Your body cannot be turned undead without prior consent

Fervent Beats

At 6th level, Once per short rest, as an action, you can stop your own heart to attack with your soul

While your body still has hitpoints, your amount of turns in soul form do not go down, instead, you take 1d12 of damage per turn that you are in ghost form until you reach 0 hp, in which your time in soul form starts to go down like normal.

Your body is unconscious while in soul form

Heart of aspiration

Your body has grown and adapted to always being at the cusp of death

At 6th level, As a bonus action, You can choose to end your ghostly rampage and re-enter your body voluntarily, giving you 1 hit dice worth of HP back per 4 levels in barbarian. (Your body must still have Hitpoints)

Once Per short rest or long rest, while not in soul form,  you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d12 + your barbarian level.

Your melee attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

you now have to fail 4 death saving throws to die

Dont Fear the Reaper

At 10th level, at half hp, get a +1d6 to all your damage rolls, +1 to your ac, and +1 to all saving throws

at 1/4th hp, that d6 changes to a d8

(this does not apply to your soul form)

Through body and soul

At 14th level, Once per long rest, you can rip out your own soul and get access to soul form without having to be dead or dying
Your connection to your body is so strong that you can control your body within a 100ft radius and use it like normal while still controlling your soul
Outside of that 100ft radius, you lose control and your body is incapacitated. You must make a CON save (DC 15) to regain control
While your soul is outside of your body, your body cannot rage
This lasts for 15 turns or 30 minutes outside of combat
If your body gets dropped to 0 HP, the regular soul form time limit applies
