Monk
Base Class: Monk

Through observing octopuses and connecting to the primal power of the high seas, skilled seafaring brawlers developed a unique fighting style all their own. Soon, a limber combat style was born by training arms and legs to function like swift tentacles snapping through the water. Following the Way of the Octopus, you are a swift martialist whose bones and muscles contort to your will and can make quick, whip-like attacks at a moment’s notice. Those who master this fighting style are known to have unwavering control of their form, capable of escaping the narrowest of openings before anyone is any the wiser

Swim Speed

You gain a Swim Speed equal to your Walk Speed.

Counterstrike

· After taking damage from a creature within 5 ft. of you, as a Reaction, you can spend 1 Ki point to make an Unarmed Strike against the triggering creature. · Immediately after using this feature, you may move up to 15 ft. in any direction without provoking Opportunity Attacks from the creature targeted by Counterstrike for the rest of the turn

Stranglehold

Your observance of octopuses has allowed you to mimic their grappling ability.

While you are actively Grappling a creature, you can spend 1 Ki point to immediately wrap yourself around a creature that is no more than one size larger than you, locking them in place with your flexible limbs and forcing the creature to become Restrained. If the target successfully ends the Grappled condition, they end the Restrained condition as well. You cannot take any Actions while using this trait

Extra Opportunity Attack

When making an Opportunity Attack, you do not expend a Reaction.

Condition Immunities

You are immune to the Stunned and Restrained conditions.

Bonus Proficiencies

You gain Proficiency in Strength (Athletics). You gain Proficiency in Dexterity (Acrobatics).

Flexible Form

Your fighting style further emulates the octopus. When making an Opportunity Attack you can expend 1 Ki point to make two Unarmed Strikes against the triggering creature in place of the Opportunity Attack. You gain complete control over the contour of your body and can now squeeze through a space as narrow as half of your size at your full Walk Speed, provided you are not wearing armor

Octostrike

When you spend a Ki point to use Flurry of Blows, you make 3 Unarmed Strikes as a Bonus Action instead of 2. If you miss none of your Flurry of Blows attacks this turn, you may spend a Ki point to immediately deal damage equivalent to a roll of the Martial Arts die. If one of your Flurry of Blows was a Critical Hit, this damage is also considered a Critical Hit. If you miss at least 1 of your Flurry of Blows attacks this turn, you may spend a Ki point to have the target make a Dexterity Saving Throw (Monk DC). · On Failure: The target takes damage equivalent to a roll of your Martial Arts die, and is Blinded or Deafened until the start of your next turn. · If you miss at least 2 of your Flurry of Blows attacks this turn, you may spend 2 Ki points to immediately use Stunning Strike, Patient Defense, or Step of the Wind. If you successfully inflict Stunning Strike, you also deal damage equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die. If you use Patient Defense or Step of the Wind, you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die

When you fight, it’s as if you strike with more limbs than you
have
