Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Much like the weapons you wield, your body is tempered by the flames of the forge, giving you a fiery constitution and a will as hard as steel. When you rage, you become a fiery crucible, and enemies in your path become the metal you shape. Scars and burns cover your body, but you wear them proudly as a master smith would.

Iron Crucible

Beginning at 3rd level, your rage burns hotter than the forge you tend, giving you the following benefits:

  • You gain proficiency with smith's tools.
  • While raging, you have resistance to fire damage, and while not raging you have resistance to cold damage.
  • When you enter your rage and as a bonus action each turn while raging, you can stoke your inner flames to deal 1d4 fire damage to yourself and each creature within 15 feet of you. Each time you use this ability, the damage increases by 1d4, up to a maximum number of d4s equal to your proficiency bonus.

Heating Up

Beginning at 6th level, the flames of your rage burn hotter, giving you the following benefits:

  • While raging, your weapon attacks and unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d6 fire damage.
  • When you deal fire damage to a hostile creature, you ignore resistance to fire damage.

Burning Will

Beginning at 10th level, the burning flames in your body and mind grant you the following benefits:

  • While raging, you have advantage on wisdom saving throws.
  • The damage of your Iron Crucible feature becomes a d6.
  • While raging, you can cast and maintain concentration on the heat metal. When you cast it this way, it is cast at 4th level. You can cast the spell this way once per rage. Strength is your spellcasting ability modifier for the spell.

Third Degree

Beginning at 14th level, your rage causes you to become an inferno, giving you the following:

  • While raging, you are immune to fire damage and keep your resistance to cold damage.
  • The additional fire damage while raging from your Heating Up feature increases to 2d6.
  • While raging, you may add your rage bonus to any saving throw you make.
  • If you have no uses of your rage left, you may expend and roll one of your hit dice, taking damage equal to the result to enter your rage. This damage cannot be reduced in any way.
