The Suffering

Your patron is a torturous being. It loves inflicting pain and receiving it. And so it passes that persona onto you in the power it gives.

Expanded Spell List

The Suffering lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. You also know the spare the dying cantrip.

Suffering Expanded Spells

The Sufferer's Punishment

Starting at 1st level, when you receive a hostile creature's attack, you deal half the damage you took to the attacker.

Tortuous Chains

Starting at 6th level, you can call on your patron to chain down your assailants. You may use an action to grapple a foe at a range of 10ft.

Victim's Resistance

Starting at 10th level, you can choose one damage type when you finish a short or long rest. You gain resistance to that damage type until you choose a different one with this feature. 

The Undying Pain

Starting at 14th level, when you would fall unconscious or die, you can choose to come back to consciousness with half your maximum hit points. Once used, you gain disadvantage on all attacks rolls and saving throws, until you fall unconscious or finish a long or short rest.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
