Ascendant

3rd level Path of Ascension feature

While raging you fully embrace your position on the Path of Ascension, granting you immense streinghts but at great cost. While raging you gain the following features:

Self-Made Apex: At 3rd level, as part of your transformation into an Ascendant, you gain a unique trait. You can no longer receive aid from external sources. This affects healing spells, buffs, or enchantments that would augment your abilities or restore your vitality. Your journey of ascension is a testament to your self-sufficiency. The magic that flows within you rejects any form of external enhancement or recovery, ensuring that your strength and resilience are solely the products of your own inner might and determination. However, you can still be healed by healing potions given to you by others. You are not immune to enchantment spells; they simply do not have any positive effects on you.

Giant Amongst Mortals: You can now expand in size by one category, reflecting your ascent beyond the physical norms. Adjusting your size requires one action. This growth potential escalates at levels 6, 10, and 14, with each stage allowing an additional size increase.

Ethereal Resilience: Once per long rest, as a reaction to taking damage, you can channel your ascendant energy to reduce the damage by an amount equal to your Hit Dice. (Note: You use as many hit dice as you have.)

Unending Rage:

• All your melee attacks inflict extra damage equal to your Rage damage bonus. (That is, your Rage damage bonus is doubled.)
• At the start of each turn during Rage of the Ascendant, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level + Constitution modifier.

Evolving Resiliance

6th-level Path of Ascension feature

Upon reaching the 6th level, you undergo a profound transformation, your essence aligning with the primordial energies of the multiverse. This ascension bestows upon you the following abilities:

• Elemental Resilience: You gain immunity to the extremes of natural environments. Scorching deserts, freezing tundras, and other hazardous weather effects, such as blinding fog and deafening thunder, no longer pose a threat to you. This immunity extends only to nonmagical environmental conditions, allowing you to endure and traverse the most inhospitable terrains with ease. Furthermore, you can survive in the environment of any plane of existence without harm.

• Purity of Body: Your ascended form grants you immunity to poison and disease, regardless of whether they are of natural or magical origin. Your body automatically purges any toxic substances or infections, maintaining your health and vitality in the face of ailments that would weaken others. Additionally, in your elevated state, your body becomes an inhospitable host to parasites and pests, preventing any form of infestation.

• Sustenance Transcendence: The mundane needs of your physical form—such as hunger, thirst, and sleep—are transcended. You draw sustenance from your inner vitality and the ambient energies around you. While you no longer require sleep, magic intended to induce sleep cannot affect you. For the purposes of a long rest, entering a state of conscious meditation suffices, during which you remain aware of your surroundings. This meditative state can be maintained indefinitely as per your will.

Awareness Unbound

10th-level Path of Ascension feature

At the 10th level, your senses and understanding transcend mortal limitations, awakening to the mysteries of the cosmos and the creatures within it. This enlightenment grants you the following abilities:

• Cosmic Awareness: Your senses sharpen, granting you blindsight up to a 30-foot radius centered on yourself. This heightened awareness allows you to perceive your immediate surroundings without the need for sight. Additionally, you gain darkvision, enabling you to see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You also gain advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) checks that rely on smell and Wisdom (Perception) checks that depend on hearing, reflecting your enhanced sensory abilities.

• Universal Comprehension: You gain an intuitive understanding of all spoken and written languages, symbolizing your deep connection with the universal consciousness. At 18th level, this understanding evolves, allowing you to speak, read, and write all languages fluently. This extraordinary capability enhances your ability to communicate and understand others, bridging the gaps between diverse cultures and beings.

• On the Hunt: Once per long rest, you can use an action to attune your senses to the life forces around you. For a moment, you become aware of the presence and location of all living creatures within 30 feet of you, regardless of whether they are concealed by non-magical means. This ability does not enable you to see the creatures, but you are acutely aware of their existence and position. This perception is confined to creatures on the same plane of existence as you.

Ascendant Essence

14th-level Path of Ascension feature

Reaching the 14th level marks your ascension to a near-celestial form, granting you extraordinary abilities that transcend the mortal coil:

• Ethereal Shift: You have mastered the art of planar travel, gaining the ability to traverse the planes of existence at will. Outside of combat, this ability requires no more than a moment's concentration. However, during combat, shifting planes requires the use of one action. This unparalleled mobility reflects your dominion over space and reality.

• Ageless Being: Time's relentless march no longer affects you. You become immune to the natural aging process, and magical or supernatural effects that attempt to age you are rendered ineffective. Your visage gains an ethereal quality, embodying the timeless nature of your ascended form.

• Mystic Insight: Your connection to the cosmos deepens, granting you a profound understanding of its mysteries. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws if you didn't already have it. Additionally, your insight into the arcane becomes unmatched, granting you advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) checks, facilitating your comprehension of magical theories and cosmic truths.

• Transcendent Communication: You overcome the constraints of physical and linguistic barriers, gaining the ability to communicate telepathically with any creature within 60 feet. This communication transcends language, allowing you to exchange thoughts and ideas with clarity and precision, regardless of the creature's origin or understanding.
