Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Path of the Ogre Mage is a unique primal path for barbarians in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, allowing characters to harness the primal power of the fearsome Ogre Mages. These barbarians embrace a fusion of raw rage and arcane might, tapping into the mystic energy that courses through their veins.

Ogre-Blooded Magic

Starting at 3rd level, your connection to the magical lineage of the Ogre Mages grants you innate spellcasting abilities. You can cast spells from the sorcerer spell list using your Constitution modifier as your spellcasting ability. You gain a number of spell slots equal to your barbarian level divided by 3 (rounded down), and you know two cantrips and two 1st-level spells from the sorcerer list.

Ogre Resilience

At 3rd level, the toughness of Ogre Mages becomes your own. You gain resistance to spell damage, and you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Arcane Fury

Starting at 6th level, your rage becomes infused with arcane power. While raging, you can choose to use your bonus action to unleash a wave of magical energy. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, they take force damage equal to your barbarian level, and half damage on a successful save.

Mystic Rampage

Upon reaching 10th level, your connection to the Ogre Mage lineage grows stronger. You gain the ability to cast one 2nd-level sorcerer spell without expending a spell slot once per long rest. Additionally, when you activate your rage, you can choose to expend a spell slot to grant yourself temporary hit points equal to the spell's level + your Constitution modifier.

Arcane Transformation

At 14th level, you can channel the power of the Ogre Mage to transform yourself into a terrifying visage. As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Arcane Fury and gain the effects of the enlarge/reduce and invisibility spells for 1 minute. During this time, your attacks deal an additional 1d6 force damage, and you have advantage on Strength checks and saving throws.
