Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who swear the Oath of the Sandstorm are devoted to protecting the desert lands and its inhabitants from threats both mundane and supernatural. They draw power from the relentless and unforgiving nature of the desert itself, embodying its harsh beauty and ferocity.

The paladins who swear this oath follow a strict code of conduct that emphasizes resilience, self-reliance, and protection of the desert's fragile ecosystem. The tenets of the Sandstorm oath include:

Resilience: Endure hardships and trials without faltering.

Self-Reliance: Rely on your own strength and resourcefulness.

Protection: Guard the desert's creatures, plants, and people from harm.

Adaptability: Embrace change and learn to thrive in harsh conditions.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following Channel Divinity options:

Sandstorm Smite: As an action, you can imbue your weapon with swirling sand and unleash a powerful strike. On your next successful weapon attack, the target takes additional thunder damage equal to your paladin level, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Shield of the Desert: As a reaction when you or a creature within 10 feet of you takes damage, you can grant resistance to that damage type until the start of your next turn.

Aura of Endurance

Beginning at 7th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain resistance to fire damage and are immune to the effects of extreme heat and dehydration..

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Sandstorm's Wrath

At 15th level, you can call upon the fury of the desert to smite your foes.

As an action, you unleash a swirling sandstorm in a 30-foot radius centered on yourself. Creatures of your choice within the area must make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC, taking 8d8 bludgeoning and thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Desert Avenger

At 20th level, you become an avatar of the desert's fury. You gain resistance to all damage from spells. Additionally, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can choose to deal extra thunder damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
