As a Runic Gun Ranger, you have learned to infuse your firearm with ancient runes and magic, granting you powerful abilities and enhancing your marksmanship skills. You are a master of using your gun to channel magical energy and deliver devastating attacks from a distance.

This homebrew subclass allows you to combine the precision of a ranger with the power of magic, making you a deadly marksman on the battlefield. Experiment with different rune combinations to find the playstyle that suits you best.

Runic Shot

At 7th level, you gain the ability to channel magical energy into your gun to deliver a powerful Runic Shot. As an action, you can make a special attack with your gun that deals additional damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. This damage is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity.

Runic Defense

At 11th level, you can use your gun to create a protective barrier around yourself. As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can use your Runic Gun to deflect the blow. You gain resistance to the damage from that attack.

Runic Mastery

At 15th level, you have mastered the art of using runes with your gun. You can now infuse two runes into your gun, gaining the benefits of both. Additionally, you can use your Runic Shot twice per short or long rest.

Rune of Power

Once per turn, you can add your Wisdom modifier to the damage of your gun attacks.

Rune of Precision

Your shots never miss their mark. Once per turn, you can reroll a missed attack roll with your gun.

Rune of Speed

You can fire your gun with lightning-fast speed. You can make an additional attack with your gun as a bonus action on your turn.

Runic Infusion

At 3rd level, you can choose one rune to infuse into your gun. This rune grants you a special ability that you can use in combat. You can choose from the following runes:
