Base Class: Monk
Way of shifting sands monks have have learned to become slippery as sand through your fingertips.
3rd: Slippery Sand
While moving, your body and anything you are carrying morph into grains of sand. This grants you resistance to nonmagical attacks while moving. If you get grappled or restrained, you can spend 10 feet of movement to escape the grapple. Additionally, you can move through the space of others and through gaps no smaller then 1 inch in any dimension without squeezing. You ignore the effects of difficult terrain and similar effects that would restrict your movement speed as you can phase through the terrain as sand. You can also spend half your movement to escape the restrained or grappled conditions.
3rd: Sand Burial
When you move through a creature's space, sand is left behind burying their feet. The creature must spend 15 feet of movement to get out of the sand.
6th: Burrow
You gain tremorsense out to 90 feet. Additionally, you can choose to gain a burrow speed equal to your walking speed for the next minute. You can only use this movement and sense through loose dirt or sand.
You can only use this feature once per rest, unless you choose to spend 2 ki points to use it again.
6th: Wall of Sand
As an action, you can choose to spend 3 ki points to cast wall of sand.
You must concentrate on this spell as normal.
11th: Close Call
As a reaction when you are the target of a spell or attack, you can morph into sand causing the attack to miss and move up to half your walking speed without provoking opportunity attacks. You use this feature before you know the outcome of the roll.
You can use this feature an amount of times equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded down each long rest. You can use the feature again by spending 2 ki points.
17th: Sand Monolith
Once per long rest, you can transform into a shambling pile of sand with the following benefits:
- You become two sizes larger
- When you enter a creatures space that is your size or smaller, you can grapple them as a free action
- You have resistance to non magical attacks
- You have immunity to poison damage and the poisoned condition
- You cannot be moved against your will
- Your melee attacks deal additional damage equal to your martial arts die
- You gain a special ranged attack in which you hurl a glob of sand with a range of 60 feet dealing damage equal to two rolls of your martial arts die. You can choose whether it uses strength or dexterity for the attack and damage rolls
These benefits last for 1 minute, or until you decide to end this effect at any time. You can choose to spend 8 ki point to take this form again.
