Base Class: Fighter
The Disciplined Soul has discovered that the cloistered orders of monks are on to something and has dedicated themselves to the discipline of their body, weapons, mind, and spirit in much the same way.
Discipline of the Body
3rd-level Disciplined Warrior feature
At 3rd level gain a number of ki points equal to double your proficiency bonus. You regain all ki points after finishing a long rest
You may use a ki point to empower the following abilities.
- Improved strike: Spend a ki point when making an attack roll and add 1d4 to the roll, potentially changing a miss to a hit.
- Deflect strike: When a melee attack successfully hits you, you can choose to reduce the damage as a reaction. Reduce the damage dealt by 1d10 + proficiency bonus. If this reduces damage to 0 you can spend a ki point to riposte (roll to attack).
- Additional Attack: If you took the attack action on your turn, you may, as a bonus action, spend a ki point and take an additional attack.
- Spiritual awareness: you may spend a ki point to re-roll a dexterity saving throw as a reaction. You can also use this feature to re-roll an initiative roll. You must use the new roll.
Body and Mind
3rd level Disciplined Soul feature
The connection between your mind and body is such that you are able to will your body into action. You may substitute your wisdom modifier for your dexterity modifier on skill checks or saving throws.
Discipline of weapons
Discipline of Weapons:
At 7th level you gain the following Ki abilities which can be used as free actions
- Spirit damage: after a successful attack you can spend a ki point to deal an additional 1d8 + Wis Modifier damage. You can spend a number of ki points up to your wisdom modifier per use.
- Precision damage: spend a ki point to reroll any one or two on damage dice. You must use the new roll.
- Spiritual critical: Spend a ki a point when rolling a natural 19 to make it a critical hit.
Discipline of the Mind
10th-level Feature
You have created a deep bridge between body, spirit, and mind. You gain resistance to psychic damage and are proficient in wisdom saving throws.
You gain the following Ki abilities.
Stillness of mind: If you begin your turn charmed or frightened you may spend a ki point as a bonus action to end it.
Improved deflect strike: When a melee attack hits you, you may add your proficiency bonus to your armor class as a reaction. If a strike misses because of this you may spend a ki point to make an attack of opportunity.
Discipline of Spirit
At 15th level you have created a closer bridge between body and spirit. You can spend two ki points to grant yourself an additional use of second wind or action surge.
Mastery of Self
Starting at 18th level, your mastery over yourself can delay the grasp of death. If you take damage that reduces you to 0 hit points and doesn’t kill you outright, you can use your reaction to instantly trigger a second wind and gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage until the start of your next turn.
Once used you cannot use this feature until you finish a long rest.
