Base Class: Barbarian
Wherever they come from, pugilists live a rough and tumble life that leaves them full of determination and reckless, either from overconfidence or desperation. In a fight they can channel this strength of character to dig deep and fight off foes with greater strength of numbers, arms, or armor than anyone else would think possible.
Fisticuffs
At 3rd level, your years of fighting in back alleys and taverns have given you mastery over combat styles that use unarmed strikes and pugilist weapons, which are simple melee weapons without the two-handed property, whips, and improvised weapons. You may not use the finesse property of a weapon while using it as a pugilist weapon. You gain the following benefits:
- You become proficient in unarmed strikes and improvised weapon attacks
- You can roll a d6 in place of the normal damage die of unarmed strikes, whips, improvised weapons or barbarian weapons. This die increases as you reach higher levels, at 5th level the die increases to d8s then to d10s at 10th and d12s at 15th.
- When you make an attack with a weapon that uses your fisticuffs damage die, you can make an additional attack as a bonus action.
- You can now grapple as a bonus action
Haymaker
Starting at 3rd level, you can declare that you are swinging wild haymakers. You can opt to take a -5 penalty to all unarmed attack rolls, if an attack hits instead of rolling damage, inflict the maximum possible damage.
Rage-filled Fists
Starting at 6th level, while raging, your unarmed strikes ignore resistances and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage. Additionally while raging, you deal double damage to objects and structures.
Massive Build
At 10th level, your massive build anchors you to the ground. While you are on firm footing you cannot be moved against your will -- such as movement from being grappled, thunderwave or repelling blast.
You can grapple enemies one size larger while raging
Herculean
At 14th level, while raging, you gain temporary hit points at the beginning of each turn equal to your barbarian level
