Of Mystical Being

The border between planes is a location that is rife with ancient energy, as powerful as it was during the dawn of creation. This energy, unstable by nature, sometimes bleeds into the worlds that it stands between. These breaks within space may take the form of a portal to a distant realm or, in much rarer cases, an individual. These special individuals are gifted with a remarkably unique life energy which allows them to be much more attuned to the fabric of the planes around them than any ordinary person. These individuals, at their greatest, are capable of traversing the realms at the blink of an eye. 

Mostly Self-Taught

Monks of this path are warriors of a transient lifestyle, always moving from place to place with a strong wanderlust in their spirit. This appetite for adventure permeates their life force, and is shown in how they manipulate it to mystically shift from place to place. This lifestyle has bred much variety in martial performance. Since masters are so few and far between every disciple has developed their own unique way to utilize their potential to the fullest. If one does manage to find a master on their travels the meeting would likely be short, but the wisdom imparted may teach for years to come.

Steps Beyond Reality

At 3rd level you have learned to utilize your ki and extra speed to move through space in the blink of an eye. Once per turn instead of utilizing the movement granted by your "Unarmored Movement" feature you may teleport to a space that you can see within a range equal to the bonus movement granted by the "Unarmored Movement" feature. Opportunity attacks made against you when utilizing this trait are made at disadvantage. You may not use this ability when your movement speed is reduced to 0.

Grasp of the Void

At 3rd level you’ve learned to manipulate your special ki to mystically hamper the being of threats in a fight. When a you hit a creature with a melee attack you may spend an additional 2 ki points to force the creature to make a CHA save against your ki save DC. On a failed save the target becomes wreathed in aquamarine energy. At the beginning of each of its turns it takes extra force damage equal to your martial arts die and teleports up to 10 ft in a direction of your choice to a location you can see within range. The effect lasts for 1 min or until the creature succeeds a CHA save at the end of it’s turn.

Hidden Passages

At 6th level you’ve learned to harness your ki into the world to create pairs of linked portals. You may use your action to spend 2 ki points to place an inert, invisible portal entrance that remains in its space for 24 hours. You may use an action to spend another 2 ki points to create a corresponding exit to the portal, once completed both the entrance and exit appear as an aquamarine ring showing the other side of the portal. A pair must be on the same plane of existence to function. A complete portal pair is 2 way and lasts 1 minute, at which it vanishes in a puff of aquamarine smoke. Only creatures of your size or smaller can use these portals, no action required. The portal may be used once per round. You can create a pair of portals in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. You may close a pair of portals at any time (no action).

Space Trick

At 11th level, your training has allowed you to manipulate the fabric of space around your body to partially remove yourself from the planes. As a reaction you may use 3 ki points to physically vanish to an extra-dimensional space until the beginning of your next turn. While in this space, you can see and hear the plane you originated from, which is veiled in wispy, aquamarine smoke, and you can't see anything there more than 60 feet away from you. You cannot effect or be effected by creatures on the original plane for the duration. At the start of your next turn you return to an unoccupied space of your choice that you can see within 10 feet of the space you vanished from. If no unoccupied space is available within that range, you appear in the nearest unoccupied space (chosen at random if more than one space is equally near).

Planar Nomad

At 17th level your travels have led you to find a way to weave your way through the deepest fabric of the planes, allowing you to cast  Etherealness, Plane Shift, or Teleport on yourself without material components for 5 ki points each. In addition, you may spend 10 ki points to cast Demiplane without material components.
