Base Class: Fighter
As a heavy knight, you are a towering figure on the battlefield, a bulwark against chaos and destruction. Your armor is like a second skin, providing unmatched protection as you wade into the thick of combat. With each swing of your weapon, you bring justice crashing down upon your foes, your unwavering resolve inspiring those around you to fight on against all odds. However, your duty is not just to wield the sword and shield. As a heavy knight, you are also a symbol of hope and protection, a beacon of light in the darkness. Whether defending a village from marauding monsters or standing against the forces of evil in a grand battle, you are always ready to answer the call, your loyalty to your cause as unyielding as the armor that encases you.
Square Off
At 3rd Level, you can become a walking fortress with your shield in hand. When you sacrifice your movement speed, the next attack made against you has disadvantage. You may also choose to sacrifice your bonus action to add 1 to your AC, as long as you have donned your shield.
Improved Critical
At 3rd Level, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
Shield Combat Style
At 15th Level, you’ve become more proficient with a shield, opting for a more specialized style in shielding. (Both are passive abilities)
Dueling
If the target creature was affected by your shield, attacks made against you by that creature are made with disadvantage.
Horde Breaker
If there are 2 or more enemies within your melee range, and you attack a creature within your range, if your damage roll exceeds the kill, you may pass this damage on to the next enemy in your range. If the attack roll will still hit the enemy, that creature will take the rest of the damage passed on. Otherwise, the creature will take ½ damage, rounded down. If this carried damage would kill this creature and still have damage left over, the attack moves to the next creature in range, and continues to do so until all the damage has been used.
