Molecular Gastronomy, or progressive cuisine, is a movement that incorporates science and magic in the preparation, transformation and presentation of food. It is the study of arcane recipes as they relate to the chemical and physical processes of preparing food.

Tool Proficiency

3rd-level Artillerist feature

You gain proficiency with cook's utensils. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

Molecular Gastronome Spells

3rd-level Molecular Gastronome feature

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Molecular Gastronome Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Arcane Recipes

3rd-level Molecular Gastronome feature

Whenever you finish a short rest, using Cook's Utensils, you can create one type of magically infused food and any food you create with this feature lasts until it is eaten or until the end of your next long rest. you can create enough to feed an amount of creatures equal to your Int modifier. As an action, a creature can eat their portion but each creature can have only one effect from these foods active at a time.

Arcane Recipes

Recipes Effect
Carbonated Carrots The creature that eats this has a bonus (1d6) to all wisdom perception checks for the next hour.
Flash Frozen Foam The creature that eats this can reduce one damage type of your choice: acid, cold, fire, or lightning by (1d6) for the next hour.
Deconstructed Honey Garlic Soy Glazed Dartfish The creature that eats this has their speed increased by 10 feet for the next hour.
Gelified Goodberries The creature that eats this has their hit point max increased by (1d6) for the next hour.
Sesame Seed Spherification The creature that eats this gains 30 ft. of Darkvision if the creature already has darkvision it is increased by another 30 ft. for the next hour.

 

Emulsified Dragonshrooms

5th-level Molecular Gastronome feature

As a bonus action, you can eat a rare treat known as Emulsified Dragonshrooms, whenever you eat one of these you gain a 30 ft. fly speed, and the ability to as a bonus action create a blast of magical energy in a 20 ft. line. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d6 damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This damage can be acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison. These effects last 10 minutes and can only be used Int modifier times per long rest.

Perfected Recipes

9th-level Molecular Gastronome feature

You have begun to perfect your recipes, each of your previous recipes now have greater effects when eaten.

Arcane Recipes

RECIPES EFFECT
Carbonated Carrots The bonus to all wisdom perception checks increases to (2d6).
Flash Frozen Foam The damage you can reduce increases to (2d6).
Deconstructed Honey Garlic Soy Glazed Dartfish In addition to the increased speed the creature cannot be targeted by opportunity attacks.
Gelified Goodberries The hit point max increase is now (2d6).
Sesame Seed Spherification In addition to the granted Darkvision the creature can now see invisible creatures.

 

Grand Gourmand

15th-level Molecular Gastronome feature

Bolstered by your love for food whenever you eat one of your recipes, you gain a +2 to one ability score and the ability to add (1d6) to all saving throws for 10 minutes.
