Entertainers of the College of Masks are masters at deception and trickery. They use elaborate disguises and subtle spells to allow them to present themselves as a completely different character to each new place or person.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join College of Masks at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in three languages of your choice.

Master of Illusions

When you choose College of Bards at 3rd level, you are able to learn all illusion spells of the appropriate level.

Masks of Deceit

When you choose College of Bards at 3rd level, you get a magical mask that can be used as a spellcasting focus. This mask enables a significant increase in the ability to deceive those around you. During a short or long rest, you may choose one of the following buffs that the mask will provide while it is worn:

• False Identity. While resting, you choose any race of your size. Then, while you are wearing the mask, you will appear as a member of that race.
• False Ability. While resting, you choose any skill that you are not proficient in. Then, while you are wearing the mask, you have proficiency in that skill.
• False Linguistic. While resting, you choose any language that you are not proficient in. Then, while you are wearing the mask, your words are translated into that language.
• False Talent. While resting, you choose any instrument or artisan's tool that you are not proficient in. Then, while you are wearing the mask, those around you perceive you as someone who is proficient with that tool/instrument.
• False Competency. While resting, you may choose any weapon that you are not proficient in. Then, while you are wearing the mask, you are able to use the weapon as if you had proficiency with it.
• False Attire. While resting, you may choose any armor type that you are not proficient in. Then, while you are wearing the mask, you are able to wear armor of that type as if you had proficiency in it.
• False Life. While wearing the mask, your hit points become 1 but you gain temporary hit points equal to your bard level times 10.
• False Class. While resting, you may choose any class that you do not already have a level in. Then, while wearing the mask, you gain access to the level one features (excluding spellcasting) of that class.

Master of Lies

When you reach 6th level, you have advantage on all Charisma (Deception) checks.

Keeper of Secrets

When you reach 6th level, you are able to hide your thoughts behind your mask. Creatures have disadvantage when making Wisdom (Insight) checks to determine your motives, emotions, or thoughts.

Secret Identity

When you reach 14th level, you gain immunity to the effects of all divination magic, as well as anything that could force you to give away your identity.
