Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Time often work as diviners or stand alone in the face of adversaries. These adept magicians use their gift in the difficult (and in some places, illegal) magics of time to increase and decrease the speed of things around them.

The majority of the college's members are left alone by the public, who tend to fear their abilities. However, many choose to embrace their studies, helping people out in times of need. Some Bards of this college utilize their chronomancy for evil purposes as well, having been corrupted by the power they hold.

The college’s members gather in libraries and sometimes in actual colleges, complete with classrooms and dormitories, to share their lore with one another. They also meet at festivals or affairs of state, where they can expose corruption, unravel lies, and poke fun at self-important figures of authority.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Time at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with one saving throw of your choice.

Velocity Effect

Also at 3rd level, you discover your ability to threaten or inspire creatures with your control over time. Whenever a creature moves so that it is within 30 feet of you, you may expend one use of Bardic Inspiration. Roll one Bardic Inspiration die and multiply the result by two. You may add or subtract this number from the target's movement speed for the next minute. Alternatively, you may channel your power to expend two uses of Bardic Inspiration and use the effect on yourself as a bonus action; in this case it lasts for the next hour.

Incredible Haste

Once you reach 6th level, you can cast Longstrider as a cantrip. Your base movement speed increases by 5.

Immobilizing Touch

Beginning at 14th level, you may expend one use of Bardic Inspiration. A creature that you can touch becomes Paralyzed for an amount of seconds equal to the roll, or an amount of turns roughly equal to that (at the GM's discretion). You may use this ability once per long rest.
