Base Class: Wizard
In times long past, some of the first creatures to control magic for their own means were dragons. Over time, some of them shared their knowledge with allies and servants, teaching them to draw forth magic from themselves and the world around them. Even today, the language most often used by arcane spellcasters for their magical research is Draconic. A wizard of the School of Dragonspeakers delves into the oldest of writings to learn old magics, seeks out objects of power that draw on the magic of dragons or their own being, and may risk their lives to speak with ancient dragons themselves in order to learn secrets of magic from the oldest of teachers. The knowledge gained through the study of dragon magic, and exposure to that magical power, grants a wizard power that others can only envy.
Draconic Loreseeker
When you adopt this tradition at 2nd level, you speak, read, and write Draconic. Your experience with the language allows you to discern when it is spoken or written by a dragon. If you were already proficient with Draconic, you gain proficiency in another language of your choice. Your focus on dragons grants you an intuitive feel for where to look for more dragon knowledge; you have advantage on skill checks made to find, learn, or remember information about dragons.
Dragon's Voice
Beginning at 2nd level, you learn to strengthen your spells with the words of ancient dragons. When you cast a spell with a verbal component, you can channel the voice of a dragon in old Draconic, audible to anyone within 300 feet. Your spell attack roll and saving throw DC for this spell increases by +1. Casting in this way is stressful on your voice. You can use it 2 times. Any expended uses are restored when you complete a short or long rest. You can use this feature more often before needing to rest when you reach 6th level (3 uses), 10th level (5 uses), and 14th level (7 uses). The bonus granted by this feature increases when you reach 10th level (+2) and 14th level (+3). You may choose to use this feature one addition time beyond the number already given. From that point on, however, you to lose your ability to speak in anything louder than a whisper, and you can't cast spells that require verbal components. Your voice returns after 24 hours, after you finish a long rest, or immediately if you are targeted by a greater restoration, heal, or wish spell cast to restore your voice.
Defiant Magic
At 6th level, your knowledge of dragons allows you to draw on their magic to protect yourself from the dangers they present. When you cast an abjuration or evocation spell using a spell slot, you can cause your skin to take on the appearance of faint dragon scales. For 1 minute you have resistance to your choice of acid, cold, fire, or lightning damage. Additionally, you are immune to being frightened. When a dragon uses its Frightful Presence and you are within the radius it would affect, it's power instead makes you more resilient, giving you 2d10 temporary hit points that last for up to 1 minute.
Dragons Rise
At 10th level, your exposure to the primal magic of dragons has imbued you with the power to take to the skies. You add the fly spell to your spellbook, if it is not there already. You can cast fly without expending a spell slot. When you do so, you can target only yourself. Once you cast fly in this way, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest, though you can still cast it normally using an available spell slot.
Magic of the Ancients
Starting at 14th level, your deep understanding of magic granted by dragons allows you to cast spells that are stronger and more persistent than ever. You have advantage on Consititution saving throws made to maintain concentration on your spells, and your spells are considered to be of the highest level you can cast when they are subject to counterspell or dispel magic spells.
