Some sorcerers thrive in unpredictable chaos, others on restoring order. The whims of these philosophies matter not to you, for you know the truth; all that will come to pass was foretold at the dawn of time. You draw your power from the inevitability of destiny and of fate. Your birth may have been divined in ages past, the power of this great foretelling suffusing you with magic. Perhaps you, or one of your ancestors, had been favoured by Savras, the all-seeing Lord of Divination. Whatever it's origin within you, as a Prophetic Magic Sorcerer, your innate magic arms you with the skills of foresight, knowledge, and supernatural awareness.

Prophetic Magic

1st-level Prophetic Magic feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Prophet's Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an divination or abjuration spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.

In addition, consult the Prophet's Visage table and choose or randomly determine a way your connection to divination manifests while you are casting any of your sorcerer spells.

Shape the Weave

1st-level Prophetic Magic feature

Your connection to the manifestation of fate allows you to foretell the likelihood of actions, and you find some ability to shape the future in one way or another. When a creature you can see within 60 feet of you is about to roll a d20, you can use your reaction to force the roll to be affected by advantage or disadvantage.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Prophetic Sorcery

6th-level Prophetic Magic feature

Beginning at 6th level, you become intuitively linked with your Prophet's Spells, and can channel this power from the innate sorcery you use to augment your magic. When you cast one of your Prophet's Spells, you may spend sorcery points equal to the spells level instead of using a spell slot. If you cast the spell using sorcery points, it requires no verbal or somatic components, and it requires no material components, unless they are consumed by the spell.

Battlesight

14th-level Prophetic Magic feature

Your skills in casting the shield and counterspell spells are augmented by your powerful clairvoyance.

  • If you spend one sorcery point when you cast the shield spell, you can instead target any willing creature within 30 feet when they receive damage or are hit by a magic missile spell.
  • If you spend two sorcery points when you cast the counterspell spell, you do not need to see the spell being cast in order to counterspell it. If the caster is not within the spells' range, the spell fails.

Unparalleled Insight

18th-level Prophetic Magic feature

Your preternatural awareness has grown, with your third eye giving you unparalleled insight into the world around you. You are immune to the surprised condition. In addition, you have blindsight with a range of 30 feet.

Additionally, as a bonus action, you may spend 6 sorcery points to gain one of the following additional benefits:

  • You spread your awareness across your current plane of existence, looking for a place with which you are familiar. You cast the find the path spell. If you cast the spell in this way, it requires no material components.
  • You channel your power into opening the third eye of others. As a bonus action, you may grant willing creatures equal to 1+ your charisma modifier within 60 feet of you the passive effect of this feature for one hour.
  • You focus your awareness onto your immediate vicinity, gaining truesight with a range of 120 feet for one hour.
