Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

As a Knight of the Shards, a fighter bonds with a magical Shardblade, a powerful weapon capable of preventing enemies from healing, and dons the formidable Shardplate armor that enhances their physical prowess. This subclass emphasizes both combat efficiency and resilience, allowing fighters to summon their Shardplate for protection and wield their Shardblade for devastating attacks. As they progress, Knights of the Shards gain increased mobility, improved defensive capabilities, and the ability to inflict crippling blows on their foes, embodying the awe-inspiring battlefield presence of a true Shardbearer.

Shardbound Warrior

At 3rd level, when you choose this archetype, you bond with a mystical weapon called a Shardblade. This magical weapon is summoned to your hand as a bonus action. The Shardblade is considered a magical weapon with which you are proficient. It deals 2d6 slashing damage and has the finesse, reach, and versatile (2d8) properties. When you attack a creature with this weapon, the creature cannot regain hit points until the start of your next turn.

Shardplate Armor

Starting at 3rd level, you can summon Shardplate as an action, providing you an Armor Class of 18. You can summon the Shardplate for a number of minutes equal to your fighter level, usable in increments of 1 minute or longer. These minutes need not be consecutive but must be spent in a minimum 1-minute increments. Once you use this feature for a total time equal to your fighter level, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again. While wearing Shardplate, you have advantage on Strength, Constitution, and Dexterity ability checks and saving throws.

Enahnced Agility

At 7th level, your movement speed increases by 10 feet while you are not wearing heavy armor or using your Shardplate. Additionally, when you use your action to Dash, you can make one melee weapon attack as a bonus action.

Arcane Fortitude

When you summon your Shardplate, you gain temporary hit points equal to your fighter level + your Constitution modifier. Additionally, while your Shardplate is summoned, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Improved Shardblade

At 15th level, your Shardblade gains the following benefits:

- The damage of the Shardblade increases to 2d8 (2d10 versatile)

- When you hit a creature with your Shardblade, you can reduce their speed to 0 until the end of their next turn

Ultimate Shardbearer

At 18th level, you can summon both your Shardblade and Shardplate without using a bonus action or action. Additionally, the duration of your Shardplate use per long rest increases to twice your fighter level in minutes. While both your Shardblade and Shardplate are active, you can add your Constitution modifier to all damage rolls made with your Shardblade.
