Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

This subclass is ideal for players who enjoy a dramatic, high-stakes style of play, encouraging Barbarians to embrace the edge of defeat as a catalyst for unleashing their most potent abilities. Followers of this path find their greatest strength in moments when others might succumb, embodying the spirit of their ancient founder, Morga Skullsplitter.

Fury's Threshold

Upon choosing this path at 3rd level, your rage deepens, unlocking new powers as your health dwindles. You gain the following benefits based on your current hit points:

  • 100% HP: No additional benefits.
  • 50% HP or less: You gain a +1 bonus to melee weapon attack rolls and an additional reaction that can only be used for opportunity attacks.
  • 25% HP or less: The bonus to attack rolls increases to +2. You can make a single melee weapon attack as a bonus action on each of your turns.
  • 10% HP or less: The bonus to attack rolls increases to +3. When you score a critical hit, you regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).
  • 1% HP: The bonus to attack rolls increases to +4. All your melee weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20, and you gain a temporary hit point for each level of Barbarian each time you score a critical hit.

Death's Embrace

Starting at 6th level, your survival instincts and physical resilience harden as your life hangs in the balance. While you are raging and your hit points are at 50% or less, you gain the following benefit:

  • Resilient Fury: If you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Strength or Constitution saving throw, you take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw.

Unyielding Assault

At 10th level, your attacks deliver devastating blows when you're on the brink. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee attack while you have 25% or less of your hit points, the attack deals additional damage equal to twice your Rage damage.

Death's Defiance

Your sheer will to fight through death empowers you at 14th level. If an attack would reduce you to 0 hit points while you are raging and you have more than 1 hit point, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
