Base Class: Monk
Those who follow the Way of the Unseeing Eye may have been born blind or lost their sight at some point in their life, however, the Way of the Unseeing Eye is welcoming of those who still have their sight. They abandon the preconception that sight is the most important of the five senses. Without sight, the other senses are strengthened. Monks of the Way of the Unseeing Eye fully believe that it is better to have four strong senses than to have one very strong sense and four weak ones. A new member will train with blindfolds, but when they are ready to fully embrace the Way of the Unseeing Eye they permanently sacrifice their vision, so the other four senses may flourish. With their senses heightened, they can hear the softest of footsteps and even feel the very beating of your heart. Sight is only a hinderance.
Feel Their Footsteps
When you take this subclass at 3rd level, you permanently gain the blinded condition. Additionally, you gain blindsight out to a range equal to your walking speed, so long as you can hear, and you gain tremor sense equal to half your walking speed rounded down.
When rolling initiative checks, you gain a bonus equal to your proficiency bonus.
Hear Their Hearbeats
At 6th level, you learn to detect even the heartbeats of creatures and strike them more accurately. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point to mark that creature for 1 minute. While marked in this way, you always know the location of that creature. Additionally, your attacks deal two extra damage for each active mark. You can have a number of marks active at once equal to your proficiency bonus.
Raze Their Refuge
At the start of your turn, you can choose to spend any number of ki points to increase your blindsight by 10 ft. and tremor sense by 5 ft. for every ki point spent for 1 minute.
Punish Their Pride
At 11th level, you can react impossibly fast to the strikes of your foes. When a creature makes an attack against you and is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction and spend 1 ki point to make an attack against that creature. If your attack would hit, you can choose to deal damage as normal or cause both attacks to deal no damage.
Witness Their Weakness
Beginning at 17th level, you show others the true strength of your senses. As an action, you spend 6 ki points and gain the following features for 1 minute:
- Your blindsight and tremorsense both extend to double their normal size.
- Your feature from Punish their Pride no longer requires your reaction.
- You gain Truesight out to a range equal to your tremorsense.
