Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

When hearing the name of this curious order, vampires shudder and liches will flee. The Order of the Butterfly’s Guide might seem weak due to name alone. But unlike their other monstrous hunters bound to foul magic to hunt evil, members of this order instead guard the border between life and the afterlife. Some do this task by setting up funeral parlors, others are exorcists hunting those who are yet to rest. Often putting themselves at death's door they instead wield greater power to ensure the dead will stay dead, and those who oppose them shall find themselves crossing the border a bit earlier than planned.

Why do mortals insist on harming themselves for power? Research is far safer and easier! Ish.-Tyr Stormwind

Guide to the After Life

As a bonus action, you can sacrifice 5 plus your constitution modifier of your current hp to enter the Paramita Papillo State for one minute. The amount of hp sacrificed while using this ability goes up to 8 plus con mod at level 7, 11 plus con mod at level 11, 14 plus con mod at level 15, and 18 plus con mod at level 18.  If you were to drop to 0 hp or less after using Guide to the Afterlife this ability will not trigger. You can use Guide to the Afterlife equal to your proficiency modifier. Taking a short rest will restore charges to Guide to the Afterlife.

Paramita Papilo State

While in the Paramita Papillo state, the player’s hits will be converted to one of the Crimson Rites you currently have available. You can also add your constitution modifier to the damage as well. Additionally when you hit an opponent while in the Paramita Papilio state roll a percentile die. On a 50 to 100, the enemy will now have a Blood Blossom dealing 1d4 of your Crimson Rite damage at the start of your turn. At levels 7, 11, 15, and 18 you gain one extra die maxing at 5 dice to your damage rolls. While you are in the Paramita Papilio state your hits count as being empowered by your Crimson Rite and you can not stack Crimson Rite with Paramita Papillio.

Spirit Soother

You summon a spirit before grabbing it and swinging it around you in a 15ft radius. Enemies in your radius must make a dexterity saving throw against your Hemocraft save DC, and take 4d6 of your Crimson Rite plus your constitution modifier. On a success, they take half damage. You then heal for half of your total hit die. If you use this ability while at 50% health or lower then add double your constitution modifier for the damage instead, and heal for your constitution modifier as well. Up to 5 opponents can heal you. At levels 11, 15, and 18  add one more die to Spirit Soother’s damage. Spirit Soother can be used 2 times. Taking a short rest will restore Spirit Soother.

Sanguine Rouge

If you are at 50% of your max hp or less you add 5 plus your Chonsitution Modifer to your Crimson Rite damage roll.

Garden of Etenral Rest

Blood Blossoms will deal 2d4 of your Crimson Rite Damage instead. If the creature affected by Blood Blossom dies then it is transferred to another creature of your choice who is within 10ft of the original target. Additionally, Sprit Soother can now apply Blood Blossoms.

Butterfly's Embrace

If you were to take lethal damage or your hit points drop to zero or lower, you can use your reaction to instead drop to 20 hp and you automatically enter the Papilio Charontis State for three rounds. After you use Butterfly’s Embrace you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest. While you are in the Papilio Charontis State you can not enter the Pramita Papilio State.

Papilo Charontis

While in the Papilio Charontis State, your current weapon is infused with a Crimson rite damage type and will count as being affected by Crismon Rite. Any attacks made while in this state will count as a critical hit. Rolling a 20 on the attack dice will instead quadruple the damage instead. Additionally, all attacks that land will apply a Blood Blossom, and Blood Blossoms made in this state will deal 4d4 of your current Crimson Rite damage.
