A being suffused with arcane radiation tends to grow into a powerful mage. Even though many people now possess minor psionic powers these Mind mages seem to be overflowing with it to the point where those who go untrained lose their minds to the overwhelming power of it. People who are properly trained however tend to show signs of incredible mental power and are usually sought after as advisers by those who are in power.

Psionic Shield

At 2nd level, you have learned to weave your magic to fortify yourself against harm. When you are hit by an attack you can use your reaction to gain a +2 bonus to your AC until the end of this round.

When you use this feature, you can’t cast spells other than cantrips until the end of your next turn.

Mental tactics

Starting at 2nd level, your keen ability to assess tactical situations allows you to act quickly in battle. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Intelligence modifier.

Mental Blast

Starting at 6th level, you can store magical energy within yourself to later empower your damaging spells. In its stored form, this energy is called a power surge.

You can store a maximum number of power surges equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of one). Whenever you finish a long rest, your number of power surges resets to max. If you end a short rest with no power surges, you gain one power surge.

Once per turn when you deal force or psychic damage to a creature you can force them to make a constitution saving throw, on a fail the creature loses concentration on any spell it is currently using and cannot concentrate on spells until the end of it's next turn.

Mind of Steel

Beginning at 10th level, the magic you channel forms a near impenetrable fortress around your conscious mind. While you maintain concentration on a spell, you gain advantage on all wisdom and intelligence saving throws.

Psychic Blast

At 14th level, your mind is like a super charged ball of psionic force. As an action you can expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher and cause psionic energy to blast forth from you. Each creature within a 20 ft. cone of you makes an intelligence saving throw, taking 3d6 force damage and 3d6 psychic damage on a fail or half on a save.
