Base Class: Rogue
Avengers are those acolytes of religious orders who are used to hunt down and slay the enemies of the order. They are usually high ranking members, though they keep their employment as avengers secret from the public. Virtually everyone knows that avengers exist, but even avengers of good religious orders are feared.
Divine Light
Starting at 3rd level, you can channel small amounts of divine energy. You gain the Light and Thaumaturgy cantrips.
Oath of Enmity
Starting at 3rd level, you channel divine wrath to speak a binding oath against an enemy. As a bonus action, you can swear an Oath of Enmity against one creature within 60 ft. You gain the following benefits while an enemy is under your Oath of Enmity:
- Your Sneak Attack deals radiant or necrotic damage (your choice) to the target.
- You have advantage on attack rolls against the target.
- You know the location of the target while it is within 60 ft. of you.
- You have advantage on checks to track or find the location of the creature.
The effects of Oath of Enmity lasts for one hour. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier.
Oath of Pursuance
Starting at 9th level, your Oath of Enmity allows you to propel yourself through space to pursue your target. You gain the following benefits while a creature is under the effects of your Oath of Enmity:
- While in combat with the target, if you end your turn more than 60 ft. from the target, you can use your reaction to teleport 60 ft. towards the target.
- While in combat with the target, your walking speed increases by 10 ft.
- You have advantage on saving throws against effects caused by the target, that cause the grappled, paralyzed, or restrained conditions.
- Once during the duration of Oath of Enmity, you can cast the locate creature spell on the target. When you cast the spell in this way, the duration is 10 minutes, no concentration required.
Additionally, the duration of Oath of Enmity increases to 8 hours.
Oath of Isolation
Starting at 13th level, your Oath of Enmity prevents the target from receiving aid from its allies. You gain the following benefits whenever a creature is under the effects of your Oath of Enmity:
- When you use Oath of Enmity, and again whenever you hit the target with an attack, every creature adjacent to the target other than you must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or be pushed 10 ft. away from the target.
- All healing effects on the target are halved.
- The target cannot benefit from the Help action.
- The target has disadvantage on Initiative rolls.
Additionally, your Oath of Enmity now has a duration of 24 hours.
Oath of Death
Starting at 17th level, you become an avatar of divine judgment against your enemies. You gain the following benefits while a creature is under the effects of your Oath of Enmity:
- Your attacks against the target are a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
- Whenever you take the Attack action against the target, you can make a special extra attack as a bonus action.
- The target has disadvantage on attack rolls against you.
- Once per long rest, when you hit the target, you can choose to deal an extra 4d8 radiant damage with the attack.
Additionally, your Oath of Enmity has a duration of 1 week.
