Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The typical barbarian controls what they can in their world through raw power and strength, but there are those who have been touched by the mystical energies of arcane magic. Instead of relying on pure strength, these barbarians summon arcane torrents of energy as they go into their battle rage.

These channelers of arcane magic tend to have spent time on the outskirts of civilizations that heavily use magic, or lived in the vicinity of a powerful wizard whose magic has seeped into their being.

Arcane Rage

When you choose this primal path at 3rd level, you are able to enhance your rage with your arcane energies. When you go into a rage, choose one of the following damage types: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder. You gain resistance to the chosen damage type and all damage you deal with melee weapon attacks is that damage type.

On each of your turns, you may use your bonus action to change the damage type to another one listed above.

Spark of the Mage

Also at 3rd level, you have learned to control some of the magical essence that enhances your rage. You know the Light, Mage Hand, and Prestidigitation cantrips.

When moving or picking up items with Mage Hand, you use your Strength score to determine how much weight the spell can move.

Projected Essence

At 6th level, while raging you are able to send out your arcane powers to strike a foe that would normally be out of reach. As an action, choose an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you. An ethereal copy of your form appears in that space and makes a weapon attack against a creature of your choice. The ethereal copy lasts until the end of your turn.

Before the end of your turn, you may use a bonus action to teleport to the location of your ethereal copy. If you teleport, you are unable to use this feature until you finish a short or long rest.

Arcane Absorbtion

Beginning at 10th level, you have learned to manipulate a simple form of arcane magic that you can use to protect yourself from spells. When you take damage from a spell, you can use your reaction to reduce it by an amount equal to your barbarian level plus your Constitution modifier.

If the damage is reduced to 0, you may immediately create an ethereal copy of yourself in an unoccupied space within 30 feet and teleport to that location.

Conduit

At 14th level, your reserve of latent magical energies can be used to mark an enemy with an arcane conduit. At the start or end of your turn, you can mark a creature that you can see within 30 feet of you for 1 minute. Spell attacks against a marked creature are made with advantage and deal additional damage equal to your rage damage bonus.

You can do this five times and regain expended uses after finishing a long rest.
