Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Sorcerers of the Eldritch Bloodline are born with the essence of the Eldrazi coursing through their veins, a legacy of otherworldly power that grants them abilities beyond mortal understanding. Whether by direct lineage or through exposure to the cosmic horrors of the Eldrazi, these sorcerers wield magic that reflects the chaotic and destructive nature of their ancestors.

Voidmancers, as they are sometimes called, are both feared and revered. Their spells warp reality, manipulate minds, and unleash devastating forces that can shatter the very fabric of existence. They draw their power from the void, a realm of infinite possibilities and dangers, where the Eldrazi reign supreme.

The path of an Eldritch Bloodline sorcerer is fraught with peril. The more they tap into their eldritch heritage, the more they risk losing their humanity, becoming increasingly alien and detached from the world they seek to protect or dominate. Yet, their mastery of the void grants them unparalleled power, making them formidable allies and terrifying foes.

These sorcerers are often solitary figures, drawn to places where the boundaries between worlds are thin. They seek to understand their heritage and unlock the full potential of their powers, even as they struggle against the ever-present threat of madness and corruption. Theirs is a journey of power and peril, where the ultimate goal is to harness the limitless energies of the void without succumbing to its insidious grasp.

Eldritch Surge

At 1st level, your spells can trigger unpredictable and chaotic effects. When you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can roll a d20. If you roll a 1, roll on the Eldritch Surge table to create a random magical effect. If the effect is a spell, it’s too chaotic to be affected by your Metamagic. If it normally requires concentration, it doesn’t require concentration in this case; the effect lasts for its full duration.

Eldritch Surge Table

d20 Effect
1 You cast confusion centered on yourself.
2-3 You teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
4-5 You cast darkness centered on yourself.
6-7 Roll a d10. Your age changes by a number of years equal to the roll. If the roll is odd, you get younger (minimum 1 year old). If even, you get older.
8-9 You cast enlarge/reduce on yourself (your choice).
10-11 You cast mirror image.
12-13 You cast fly on a random creature within 60 feet of you.
14-15 You cast polymorph on yourself. If you fail the saving throw, you turn into a sheep for the spell’s duration.
16-17 Illusory butterflies and flower petals flutter in the air within 10 feet of you for the next minute.
18-19 You can take one additional action immediately.
20 You regain all expended sorcery points.

Eldritch Ancestry

Starting at 1st level, your connection to the Eldrazi grants you access to powerful eldritch spells. You learn additional spells, as shown in the Eldritch Bloodline Spells table. These spells count as sorcerer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Eldrazi Resilience

Starting at 6th level, your connection to the Eldrazi grants you greater resilience. You gain resistance to psychic damage, and when you cast a spell using a spell slot, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).

Eldritch Reality

At 14th level, you can manipulate the fabric of reality itself. As an action, you can create a 20-foot-radius sphere of distorted reality centered on a point you can see within 120 feet of you. For 1 minute, the area is difficult terrain, and creatures of your choice within the area have disadvantage on saving throws against your spells. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Eldritch Ascendancy

At 18th level, your mastery over eldritch powers reaches its peak. You gain the following benefits:

  • Void Immunity: You gain immunity to force and psychic damage.
  • Eldritch Mastery: When you cast a spell that deals damage, you can choose to deal maximum damage with that spell. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, once you have used that often you can't do so until you finish a long rest.
  • Titan's Wrath: You can cast [Tooltip Not Found] once without expending a spell slot. Once you cast it in this way, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
