Base Class: Monk
By following the Way of the Delayed Strike, you learn to detach your energy from yourself and harness it. Monks following this way believes their ki to be something they do not directly control, and simply direct it to wherever it was meant to be. A student of the Way of the Delayed Strike sees their body as nothing more than a conduit for the energy already present around and within them.
My first homebrew subclass, is probably a bit unbalanced lol. any feedback is appreciated!!
Ki Sense
The ki of things in your surroundings call to you, guiding you. You may pick one spell from the following table and cast it a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. You may change your selection during a long rest.
Delayed Blows
Through rigorous training, your ki acts alongside your bodily movements. At the start of your turn, you may expend 2 ki points to activate this feature. While this feature is active, when you make an unarmed strike, the target of the attack receives 1d4 + your proficiency bonus force damage at the start of their next turn. This damage increases to 2d4 at level 6, 3d4 at level 11, and 4d4 at level 17. This effect lasts for 3 turns.
Ki Flow
Through further meditation, you attain the ability to sense the direction and will of the ki within yourself and those around you. You and any ally within 5 feet of you can see normally within magical and nonmagical darkness up to 60 feet. Additionally, an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest, if you or an ally within 30 feet of you fails an ability check, you may add +5 to the next ability check or saving throw they make.
Projected Strike
You gain the ability to extend your ki outside of your body. You may use your bonus action to expend 4 ki points, after which any unarmed strikes made until the start of your next turn are treated as ranged attacks with a range of 30 feet.
Perfected Delay
You learn to time your blows perfectly to the rhythm of others' ki. When you make more than one unarmed strike on any given creature in a turn, you cause their ki to synchronise with your own. You learn the exact position of the affected creature for 10 minutes, and they are incapable of becoming invisible or hiding until the duration ends. The affected creature cannot go more than 150 feet from you, and if they attempt to or are forced further, they will begin moving towards the boundary of the effect until they are again within 150 feet of you. This effect ends early if you are incapacitated or die.
Flow Mastery
You become one with ki. You regain 2 ki points whenever you knock an enemy unconcious or kill them. Additionally, when you make an unarmed strike, you may expend 3 ki points to force the target to make a constitution check with a dc of 8 + your dexterity bonus and proficiency bonus. On a failed save, you block the targets ki. They take 4d10 + 10 (32) force damage at the start of any subsequent turns and are paralysed. This effect ends when they succeed the constitution check.
