Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of the Tadasana one of the many forms Asana- Body strength given through spiritual posture, poses, and comfort. You connect with the earth—and to your body, breath, and mind, though the use of Asana. It is also a great foundational pose for all other standing poses, with other uses of Asana often using this as a starting point before moving on to the ways of the other elements.. When practiced regularly, one can take this connection and give it form.

By taking this subclass, you learn to channel that energy to control the movement of the ground around you. You start off being able to summon arms of earth to your side to act as your arms and feet for attacks. Soon, you learn to take these strikes and increase their range, or to guard your body. Finally, as your strength and spirit increases, you gain the power to connect to the earth itself, sensing those clsoe to you, and manipulating the sands further than ever before.

Arms of Gaia

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can meld your internal energy with the ground beneath you. As a bonus action, you can create a pair of shifting dirt or sand pillars, depending on your environment. If you are fighting on a ship or are otherwise not connected to the ground, the arms are made from salt from the water or minerals from the atmosphere. These pillars reach up to 10 feet tall, share the same space as you, and last for 1 minute. While they are active, your unarmed attacks have a reach of 10 feet, and deal slashing damage instead of bludgeoning damage.

Once per turn, when you deal damage with your Arms of Gaia, you can attempt to grapple your foe. While grappling or restraininf a foe in this manner, you lose the special properties of your unarmed attacks, but do not lose your mobility or attack at disadvantage. If you move more than 10 feet away from your grapple target, they automatically succeed an escape check to flee your grasp.

You can summon your arms an amount of times equal to your 2 + Wis. Modifier + Prof. per long rest, or by expending 1 ki point.

Grasp of Geb

When you reach level 3, you can expend 1 Ki point to add an extra damage die to unarmed attacks using your Arms of Gaia.

At level level 11, you can expend 2 ki points instead of one to add 2 extra damage die.

Meder Swarm

At 6th level, you gain the ability to send the blessings of earth at your foes. As an action, you can sever your Arms of Gaia and launch them at a foe as an attack, using your Wisdom Modifier. This can be done in one of two ways:

Sand Spray:  Foes in a 15 foot cone must make a {{savedc:wis}} dexterity saving throw, taking 3d6 magical Bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half on a successful save. You can spend 1 ki point to increase the damage by 1d6. For every 2 ki points increasing the damage, the cone increases in size by 5 feet.

Sand Bolt: You hurl a a stream of sand at a creature or object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d10 magical bludgeoning damage. This attack’s damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 11th level (3d10) and 17th level (4d10).

When you use your action this way, you cannot re-summon your arms until the start of your next turn.

Armor of Alusi

Beginning at 11th level, your skills with the earth and it's power increase in strength, becoming both a weapon and a shield. At the start of your turns, when your Arms of Gaia are active, you gain Temp. Hp equal to your Class Level.

Seer of Asase

At 17th level, you master the earth and all that it connects to, manipulating the land as you see fit. You gain the following benefits:

You gain Tremor Sense with a range of 60 feet.

Whenever you start combat, you immediately start with your Arms of Gaia created, even if you have no uses or ki-points left.

The range of your Arms of Gaia Unarmed Strikes increase to 20 feet.
