Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

As a Deckromancer, your mastery of magic manifests through a unique and ever-changing deck of spells, making each encounter dynamic and unpredictable. The magical synergy between you and your deck allows you to wield immense power, provided you play your cards right.

Features:

Your Binder, Deck, and Hand:

Binder: Your binder is a magical repository where you store your cards when they are not in your deck. During a long rest, you can swap out cards from your binder with those in your deck, allowing you to adjust your prepared spells.
Deck: Your deck is composed of 4 copies of each of your prepared spells and 3 copies of each of your known cantrips. At the start of each turn, you draw 1d4 cards from your deck.
Hand: The cards you draw form your hand, from which you can cast spells. Any unused cards at the end of your turn are discarded and can be added back to your deck during a long rest. Spells cast at the minimum level do not require you to expend a spell slot. Any spell cast at higher than the spell's minimum level requires you to expend a spell slot of that level.

Playing a Card:
To play a card, it must be in your hand. Spend an action to place it on a flat surface and cast the spell. The card is then discarded.

Discarding Cards:
Cards that are used or discarded appear to disintegrate but are actually sent to a pocket dimension. They return to your deck during your next long rest.

Card Preparation

Starting at 6th level, as an action, you can place a card face down up to 5 feet away. You can, on a later turn, shout out its name to activate it as a bonus action as long as you are within 100ft of the card. The card is discarded after activation or after 4 hours.

Mulligan

Starting at 10th level, you can shuffle your hand back into your deck and draw the same number of cards as a bonus action once per long rest.

Golden Cards

Starting at 14th level, choose 4 spells and create a golden copy of each of these cards. These cards are permanently in your deck and will always cast at max spell level.
