Base Class: Paladin
Oath of Laughter Tennents
- Maintain Appearances. While within the public eye, you shall refrain from partaking in debauchery. Your conduct will always reflect the purity of joy.
- Understanding yet joyous. Know that there is a time for humor and a time for consolation. The difference can be like night and day, or as a frog and toad.
- Protect their smiles. Protect the joy and innocence of others, shielding their smiles from the shadows of sorrow and despair.
- Dignified and unique. I will not copy or mimic the acts of other entertainers. My humor will heal and uplift, never belittling or harming the innocent.

Channel DIvinity
Truest of Joy. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to create an aura of positive emotions and confidence. All friendly creatures within 30 feet receive advantage on their next saving throw, as well as an additional +1d4 to their next attack roll or ability check.
Infallible Performance. As a reaction, when a creature fails a saving throw within 30 feet of you, you can use your Channel Divinity to change its saving throw to a success. This feature can be used after the results of the roll have been revealed.
Aura of Jubilation
Beginning at 7th level, you embody the concept of humor. A number of creatures of your choice up to your Charisma Modifier within ten feet of you cannot help but feel giddy and chuckle in your presence. If a creature starts its turn within your aura, it must make a Wisdom save against your Paladin Spell Save. On a fail, it cannot perform a hostile action until the start of its next turn.
Upon receiving damage, this effect is ended.
At 18th level, the range of this aura extends to 30 feet.
Hammerspace
Once per day as a Bonus action, you may reach into a pocket, container, or any other orifice within arm's reach. Doing so allows you to remove a large wooden hammer from within, despite it obviously not having enough space to hold it. This space also functions as a Bag of Holding, though you are the only one who can access its contents.
When you make an attack with this hammer, add your Strength, Charisma, and Proficiency to the attack roll. The hammer deals 2d10 +STR Bludgeoning, and additional Psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier. A creature struck by this hammer receives the Stunned condition.
The hammer breaks at the end of your next turn, or on a successful hit.
Performer's Bigtop
20th level Oath of Laughter feature.
As an action, you summon a 30 foot square stage that rises 10 feet off the ground. This area is difficult terrain for hostile creatures, and cannot be entered by choice.
On each turn, as a bonus action, a creature of your choice within sight of the stage must make a Dexterity Saving Throw or be teleported to the center of the stage. On a fail, roll a d4. The creature gains the effects of the number rolled.
|
1 |
The creature becomes frightened, and their speed is reduced to zero. |
|
2 |
The creature becomes under the effects of Otto's Irresistible Dance. |
|
3 |
The stage becomes difficult terrain, and the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws while on it. |
|
4 |
No added effects. |
The first time a creature is defeated on this stage, all creatures *not* on stage become under the effect of Tasha's Hideous Laughter until the end of their next turn. Every consecutive time this effect would take place, they must make a Wisdom Saving Throw to avoid the effect.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
