Base Class: Barbarian
The Path of the Blood Butcher is an obscure, ancient practice that is fueled by bloodlust and manipulation of your foes' spilt blood. Your thirst for blood on the battlefield fuels and empowers you, granting you more strength the more pain you deal out. When you rage, your blows can draw extra blood out of enemies. Using dark magic, you can manipulate the blood you draw in different ways to benefit you and your allies.
Bloodcraft
Using Blood Points, you can spend a bonus action modify your currently wielded weapon to increase its: damage, available when this feature is unlocked, or its reach, available at level 8.
Bloodlust
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain a fluid resource called Blood Points whenever any of your attacks hit during rage, with a maximum of 3 plus your CON modifier. These points can be used for your Bloodcraft ability, and for other features as you progress. Your unused Blood Points disappear when your rage ends. Through your connection to blood magic, you also gain access to the Hold Person and Inflict Wounds spells; you can cast them each once per short rest, and your spellcasting ability for these spells is Constitution.
Fury of Blood
Your rage boils your blood and pushes you past your limits, a voice in your head urging you to draw more pain from your enemies.
Beginning at 6th level, whenever a Reckless Attack you make hits, you gain 1 extra Blood Point. Additionally, once per turn when you spend Blood Points, you and a creature of your choice within 5 feet of you gain temporary HP equal to the number of Blood Points spent.
Sanguine Rend
You learn how to use your bloodlust to support your allies by tearing blood from their targets' wounds.
Whenever a creature within 10 feet of you takes piercing or slashing damage, you may use your reaction to rend blood out of that creature. It must make a Constitution saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failed save, the creature takes another 1d8 of the triggering damage type, and you gain 1 Blood Point. (This feature does not work on constructs and undead)
Bloodstorm
Your rage culminates, and the blood you've shed rips through the air around you, indiscriminately tearing apart anything in its path. Your blind fury and thirst for violence fuels a bloodstorm.
Twice per long rest, as an action, you can spend 6 Blood Points to cause a storm of violently swirling blood to encircle you in a 10 ft. sphere. While the storm is active, all creatures that start their turn within the radius must make a CON save (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or take 2d8 slashing damage and lose half of their movement speed. The storm persists until the end of your next turn. The first time each turn you deal weapon damage to a creature (that isn't undead or a construct) within the storm, you can choose to reset the duration of the storm instead of gaining Blood Points.
