The tenants of monastic tradition herald the importance of finding inner peace and one’s connection to greater existence. However, there are few monks that are able to go one step beyond this calling and find themselves connected to the very building blocks of our reality. These enlightened few find themselves empowered by foundational forces such as gravity, entropy, and magnetism. For some, this power is a boon and is welcomed with open arms; it is used as any other tool in the monk’s arsenal. For others, the potent connection between their ki and these ancient, galactic forces brings about a sense of listlessness and isolation in the vastness of the universe. What journey will you take? Will you struggle to find acceptance and meaning from the planets or will you use them to brutalize your enemies, making them feel the full wrath of the universe itself

Gravitational Ki

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to enhance your own gravitational field, both for defensive and offensive gain. When you strike an enemy with your Flurry of Blows, you may choose one of the following options: 

  • Graviton Jab: Add your Wisdom Modifier to the damage dealt from your first successful attack
  • Gigaton Push: The creature must make a Strength save or be pushed 5ft away in a straight line (this distance increases to 10ft at 6th level; 15ft at 11th level; and 25 ft at 17th level)

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses at the end of a long rest.

Quantum Swell

At 6th level, you learn to manipulate the gravity of the space surrounding you to your advantage. As a bonus action, you may expend 2 ki points to activate 1 of the following effects. The effect lasts until the end of your next turn. 

  • Galactic Attraction: Creatures within 20 ft of you must succeed on a Strength Save or be pulled 10 ft closer to you.
  • Magnetic Depression: Creatures within 10 ft of you must succeed on a Strength Save of be knocked prone.

Master of Malleable Mass

Your mastery of your own body’s gravitational field becomes nigh unmatchable. You gain the following benefits: 

  • You are immune to being knocked prone and you cannot be moved against your will
  • You gain 10 ft of additional movement speed
  • When you use your Step of the Wind ability, you may fly or float as long as you end your movement on a solid surface. 

Pulsar Strike

You have perfected your control over mass and gravity. As such, you may use your Attack action and 5 ki points to make a single Pulsar Strike. The creature must make a Constitution Saving throw or be subjected the following effects:

  • The creature is knocked 60 ft away in a straight line and knocked prone
  • The creature takes 8d10 force damage

On a successful save, creature takes half damage, is not pushed, and is not knocked prone.
