Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

In the vast reaches of the galaxy, space marines stand as the elite soldiers of interstellar warfare. Known simply as "Marines," these fighters are trained to handle the most demanding combat scenarios in the depths of space and on alien worlds. Clad in heavy armor and wielding advanced firearms, Marines are the frontline defenders against extraterrestrial threats and insurgent forces.

Each Marine undergoes rigorous training in combat tactics, marksmanship, and survival skills, making them versatile warriors capable of adapting to any battlefield. Their unwavering discipline and iron will allow them to endure the rigors of space travel, planetary invasions, and prolonged engagements without faltering. Marines are respected and feared for their unyielding resolve and their ability to turn the tide of battle with their expert marksmanship and close-quarters combat skills.

In the constant struggle for dominance among the stars, Marines exemplify courage, honor, and the relentless pursuit of victory, making them indispensable assets in the defense of humanity and the exploration of the unknown.

Roleplaying tips:

-Military Discipline: Display strict adherence to military protocols and orders. Your character respects hierarchy and understands the importance of teamwork and chain of command.

-Code of Honor: Uphold a strong sense of honor and duty. Whether it's protecting civilians, defending your comrades, or fulfilling mission objectives, your Marine character places the mission above personal gain.

-Battle-Hardened Attitude: Portray a stoic demeanor forged by years of combat experience. Your character remains calm under pressure, unfazed by danger, and capable of making tough decisions in the heat of battle.

-Qualities: Show leadership potential by taking charge in tactical situations or offering strategic advice to allies. Your Marine may naturally assume a leadership role or support existing commanders with loyalty and competence.

By embodying these roleplaying tips, your Marine fighter subclass can become a memorable and impactful presence in your sci-fi campaign, embodying the spirit of honor, resilience, and relentless determination characteristic of space marines.

Combat Prowess

You embody the disciplined and lethal training of a space marine. You gain proficiency in heavy armor and firearms. Additionally, you can use your bonus action to make a melee weapon attack after you take the Attack action on your turn.

Fighting Spirit

Starting at 3rd level, your intensity in battle can shield you and help you strike true. As a bonus action on your turn, you can give yourself advantage on weapon attack rolls until the end of the current turn. When you do so, you also gain 5 temporary hit points. The number of temporary hit points increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 10 at 10th level and 15 at 15th level.

You can use this feature three times, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Iron Will

Your mental discipline allows you to shrug off mental effects that would incapacitate others. You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.

Space Marine Reflexes

Your reflexes are honed to react swiftly in combat. You gain a +2 bonus to your AC while you are wearing heavy armor.

Battle Hardened

You have weathered countless battles, emerging stronger from each conflict. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws. If you already have proficiency in this saving throw, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with it.

Ultimate Warrior

Starting at 18th level, your fighting spirit can delay the grasp of death. If you take damage that reduces you to 0 hit points and doesn’t kill you outright, you can use your reaction to delay falling unconscious, and you can immediately take an extra turn, interrupting the current turn. While you have 0 hit points during that extra turn, taking damage causes death saving throw failures as normal, and three death saving throw failures can still kill you. When the extra turn ends, you fall unconscious if you still have 0 hit points.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
