Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks that follow the Way of the Frozen Fist have adapted their ki to the cold environments they trained in.  They have gained the ability to shape the cold and frost using their ki.

Frozen strike

Starting from 3rd level you gain the ability to infuse ice into your fists allowing you to do additional cold damage equal to one die lower than your martial arts die with a minimum of an additional d4 (for example if you have a martial arts die of a d6 you deal an additional 1d4 cold damage)

Master of ice

starting from 6th level you gain immunity to cold environments and cold damage as well as the ability to create and control ice 3 times a long rest or by spending 1 ki point.  This allows you to do the following:

  • Create weapons out of ice that deal their normal damage as well as an additional 1d6 cold damage you also have proficiency with any weapon you create (if you choose to create a weapon that is related to punching it will make you do additional damage with your unarmed strike and additional cold damage)
  • Create ice and form it into shapes.  You will be able to do different things with the ice depending on its shape
  • Anything else within reason and allowed by the dm

Frozen ki

Starting from 11th level you gain the ability to project your ki outward in the form of cold and ice.  By using ki points you are able to do the following:

  • Create animated ice sculpture to aid you in battle by using 2 ki points per statue
  • Breathe out cold and ice dealing 2d8 frost damage in a 30ft cone by spending 2 ki points
  • Enhance your body to increase your stats by an amount agreed upon by the dm by using 2 ki points
  • Project ki outwards in the form of cold to soothe wounds healing 2d4 health by spending 1 ki point
  • Anything else within reason and agreed upon by the dm for a ki point amount agreed upon by the dm
  • By using additional ki points you can boost the above abilities

Frozen form

starting from 11th level you have incorporated the essence of frost into your very form.  You gain the ability to summon a blizzard that heavily obscures the surrounding area.  This blizzard causes the environment to become incredibly cold a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus + your wisdom modifier every long rest.  Additionally you gain the following benefits:

      • You gain +3 ac
      • Your frozen strike die is now upgraded to be equal to your martial arts die
      • You get a +5 to stealth and when you make an attack while hidden you can choose to deal an additional 2d6 cold damage at the cost of not having advantage on your roll unless you are heavily obscured such as within a snow storm.  If you are heavily obscures then you will deal the additional 2d6 cold damage and have advantage
      • Your ice weapons deal an additional 1d8 cold damage instead of 1d6
      • If you are in a cold environment the above abilities are upgraded to the following:
        • You gain +5 ac
        • Your frozen strike die is equal to 1 die higher than your martial arts die (for example if you have a d10 for a martial arts die then your frozen strike die will be a d12)
        • You gain advantage on stealth and always deal additional damage without losing your advantage.  If you are heavily obscured you deal an additional 3d6 instead of 2d6
        • Your ice weapons deal an additional 1d10 instead of 1d8
      • You gain the ability to take a long rest by meditating for 4 hours.  During meditation you are fully conscious and your perception is increased.  During meditation the area around you will develop frost and the temperature will lower dramatically.  If your race requires sleep you no longer require sleep

Glacial Fist

starting from 17th level you gain the ability to increase the cold damage done by your attacks by spending ki points.  For every 2 ki points used you will do an additional 1d6 damage.  For every 2 ki points spent past 8 ki points you will take 1d4 cold damage.  By spending all ki points you will be able to use glacial strike and instantly kill any creature with a cr of 8 or lower and creatures above cr 8 will take 20d20 cold damage and 20d20 necrotic damage this damage ignores resistances and immunities but you will also take 4d20 cold damage and be incapacitated for 10 rounds while you recover.  Glacial strike always hits if you are in range.  To perform glacial strike you need at least 13 ki
