Maintain a connection to your past: Without those who have come before you would not be here today.

Honour those who have come before: Only by respecting your ancestors and maintaining their traditions can you hope to be granted with their wisdom.

Ensure that your line will not be forgotten: By committing great deeds you can ensure the legacy of your family line will not be forgotten.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Ancestral Guidance
You can call on an ancestor to guide you in a particular task. As an action you expend a use of your Channel Divinity to temporarily grant you proficiency in a skill, instrument or tool you are not proficient in. This benefit lasts for 10 minutes and you can you can use your charisma modifier for checks in this proficiency if that modifier is higher than the ability modifier for the applicable ability score.

Spiritual Reach
You can channel your ability to Lay on Hands through an ancestor. When you perform a Lay on hands action, you can expend a use of your channel divinity to target a creature within 30 feet of you, instead of within touch range.

Shielding Aura

Starting at 7th level, your ancestor spirits provide limited protection against the influence of death around you. The aura extends 10ft from you in every direction. Within this aura, you and your allies have resistance to necrotic damage, and natural 1’s on death saves now count as one fail, rather than two.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Spiritual Assistance

Starting at 15th level, your bond to your ancestors now allows you to call on their aid for yourself and your allies. You can use a bonus action on your turn to take the help action to assist either yourself, or a target creature you can see within 10 feet.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Spirit Army

At 20th level, as an action you can summon your ancestors into a more physical form around you. You create a 30 foot aura around you, granting the following benefits for one minute:

  • You and your allies within 30ft are considered as being under the effect of the Mirror Image spell, however any missing duplicates reappear at the start of your turn each round.
  • You can use a bonus action on your turn to make a melee spell attack with one of your ancestors against a creature within 30 feet. If this attack hits then it deals 3d10 + your charisma modifier force damage on a hit.
  • You can use your reaction to give disadvantage to the attack rolls and ability checks of one target creature you can see within the aura.

Once you use this feature you can't use it again until you complete a long rest.
